I believe every couple's love story is a fairy tale waiting to be told. Fairy tales are always better with pictures. Salt Lake City based wedding photographer.
Cheers to a new week!
When thinking about your wedding color palette don’t be afraid to go bold. Add a bright pink or deep yellow. It will add so much depth to the overall design. Bonus, you’ll be able to tell the colors apart in photos especially if photographed in the sun.
Walking out of Summer and into Fall this weekend.
Are you more of a Summer of Fall lover?
Bride & groom before I do.
That ready to say “I do” feeling!
All the rain is making things very green around here and I’m all for it. Secretly, I’m ready for Fall in all its glory.
Both and Mother Nature showed up for this fun session.
One of the biggest concerns I get from clients is the weather. My personal opinion is weather is amazing! It’s adds drama, story, and depth to your portraits. Plus rain is good luck for a wedding.
Leave a ☂️ if you’d have portraits made with Mother Nature doing her thing!
After four years, two missions, and choosing each other over and over B + L tied the knot! Getting to immortalize love stories is the best part of my job.
My grandma was one of my favorite people in whole world. She was feisty, funny, selfless, and loved people (unless she didn’t). She loved her family more than anything. She was an eternal optimist always finding the brightside of a situation.
This past week she finally got out of her chair and I have no doubt ran into the arms of her beloved, reunited after 7 months. What a happy day!
I will miss her everyday until we meet again.
I love you grandma! ❤️❤️❤️
The details of your wedding day are the descriptors of your story. They are the pieces that add personality to your wedding day.
When considering your details ask yourself, “Am I a sentimental person?” “What colors do I love?” or “How do we incorporate our families and those closest to us?”
Looking back at your photos will bring so many memories old and new to your recollection. Details matter.
Take me back to Chicago please. This “little” hobby of mine has introduced me to amazing people, taken me to incredible locations, and filed my soul in ways I never dreamed possible.
Whether 100 degrees or 15 creating and capturing moments is what lights me up.
It’s wedding month for these two!
When discussing their engagement session and ideas for locations two options became obvious for us to use. The first their country club, the second the couples home. I love shooting in locations that are meaningful and creating art work that will live on the walls of your home.
I can’t wait to share their wedding images happening soon.

It’s finally feeling like Spring, a little, when the Utah weather decides it wants to and I’m dying over all the gorgeous flowers.
I saw a photographer who offers floral recipes in their wedding photography coverage and I fell in love with the idea. Another page in your wedding day love story.
These florals are courtesy of . Her designs are so incredibly dynamic and colorful. I’m here for it all day, everyday.
Let me know is this something you’d love in your wedding day coverage?
Happy 6 years to us! I’m amazed at the story we’ve told and look forward to the chapters yet to be written. When I said yes to I said yes to everything life would bring and I’m so happy I did. It hasn’t always gone according to plan but there is no one I’d rather have by my side figuring out plan b.
Te amo 🥰
Take me back to France! This was such an amazing way to start the year. A beautiful city with a beautiful couple.
I have so much gorgeous work to share and can’t wait for you to see it. I still have availability for fall 2024 and am currently booking 2025. Reach out and let’s create the perfect way to tell your love story.
Q1 has been full of amazing opportunities and adventures! I’m finally catching up with all the content created and can’t wait to share it with you. First up…images made at for .
Chicago was bitterly cold and lived up to name “the Windy City” but .hairandmakeup & were rockstars and we made some amazing images.
I’ve been thinking about story a lot lately. The stories we tell to ourselves and others, the characters involved, and how we tell those stories.
The best piece of advice I could give for planning a wedding is ask the question what story do we want to tell? Then pick vendors that help tell that story.
Some questions to consider:
• Is our story people or decor focused?
• How long is our story?
• Where do you enter and exit the story? ie rehearsal dinner, getting ready, ceremony, formal portraits, reception, send off
• Where does our story take place?
Your event will have a story whether you craft one or not. Giving a little thought to the story helps drive your wedding day and keep disappointment away.
Today we buried my Grandpa Glenn D. Kirk. That is such a surreal sentence to write. I’m a much better speaker than I am writer and a simple caption on social media couldn’t do justice to the amazing man he is but I will try.
We have a tradition in our family of giving birthday tributes. Each year we e celebrate birthdays by going around the table and each person telling something they love, admire, or a memory of the birthday person. We’ve been doing this for years. After grandpa passed each of my siblings commented that his funeral would be our last tribute to him.
My grandpa was amazing. He was incredibly smart (had multiple computer power supply patents), loved to teach, chose faith, was obsessively obedient, and above all loved his family and God. We spent many hours together him trying to teach me math (I’m still not sure how much made it through) but more importantly teaching me to critically think. He loved a good brain teaser and a dad joke. Grandpa was always there when you needed him. He was steady in a world that wasn’t.
His biggest testament was how he loved my Grandma. High school sweethearts he loved her for at least 68 years. They raised a family together. When she was diagnosed with MS he was there by her side navigating life with an autoimmune disease. In their later years as grandma lost her ability to be independent grandpa picked up the slack. Taking care of the house, his wife, and church assignments. In an act of ultimate humility and patriarchy he accepted an offer to move in with his daughter (my mom) and let her help take care of them. Ensuring that when he left this world his sweetheart would be taken care of.
I can’t begin to express how grateful I am for his example to me. I look forward to the day we can once again embrace, laugh at dad jokes, and share a couple of brain teasers. I love you Grandpa ♥️
