MSU veterinary expert speaks on respiratory illness affecting dogs Researchers are looking for answers to the mysterious respiratory illness that has caused dogs in several states to get sick and sometimes die.

Hi Everyone!

Incase you have not heard there is a very Contagious Respiratory Virus affecting dogs across the Country. This is unfortunately costing many dogs their lives. Symptoms include: Coughing, Sneezing, eye discharge, runny nose, and Lethargy. If your pup has any of these symptoms please keep them home and contact your Veterinarian. If your dogs have been exposed to any dogs with these symptoms please quarantine them for 2weeks. Here is what the AKC is saying about this unknown virus.

Due to the large volume of phone calls we are receiving about pets being sprayed by skunks, we are posting our home skunk remedy for you. 1 tsp. dawn dish detergent, 1 pint hydrogen peroxide, 1 cup baking soda. Mix in a bucket, pour on animal, let it sit for 10 minutes, rinse completely off. Repeat if needed, and keep away from eyes, dispose of waste (DO NOT STORE IN A CLOSED CONTAINER). We also have "Skunk Off" for sale.

This sweet girl Kora(Australian Labradoodle) came for a groom yesterday. She was such a good girl and loved giving kisses. ❤️

Final Update**
Unfortunately this sweet pup was called home yesterday… she started going downhill and was in complete Renal failure. There was nothing the vets could do so the sad decision was made. I’m so glad I got to know her and she didn’t have to die on the side of the road. RIP🐾😢

UPDATE**
The pup made it! She has a lot of problems and her hindend is basically paralyzed, but she is in good spirits! She is very sweet. I’m fostering her for Concho Valley Paws. She will be in a wheelchair for now we are not sure if that will be permanent. She will most likely be looking for a home if she doesn’t fit in with my family, but for now ill let her heal and become accustomed to her new way of life. Thank you for all the kind words and prayers
