Jiu jitsu movement should be continuous. You may hear the term "rolling" or "rolls". These are terms for sparring or drilling. When someone says, “Let's roll,” it's similar to a wrestler saying, “Let's wrestle.” In this way, rolling can be similar to wrestling, sparring, playing, or horsing around with a friend.

Using self defense brought out that empowerment and strength for our student, built up her confidence and spirit.

We can all agree that breathing is important right? But sometimes our breathing gets out of whack when faced with something like an unexpected event/accident/pressure situation/confrontation or anything else that can cause your breathing and heart rate to increase.
Breathing techniques can help to get that under control.

From a previous men's class. Teaching posture (superman pose) on floor (teaching them not to lean forward) and how using core muscles (planking) helps in jiu jitsu.

That’s 7.1% of all adults ages 18 and older. Women have a higher prevalence of experiencing a major depressive episode than men (8.7% compared to 5.3% for adult males)."
