In case you've missed my other postings... This is my 20th year in business and to celebrate I've started a monthly drawing. Sometimes stories are just too good not to share. A few weeks ago I had a Craniosacral session with a baby who when days old was safely in his car seat when his parents' car was hit from behind by a Semi truck! After the accident he was unable to nurse comfortably on one side and couldn't lay comfortably on his back. He let me work on him for an entire hour and at the end had full spinal flexibility and freedom of movement but could also finally rest on his back. Here's a pic from after the accident where you can see redness from the seat belt which is exactly where I felt his spinal restriction. The second image is him from today, sleeping on his back.

This is an exciting year for my business... I've been in personal practice now for 20 years!!! To say a big thank you to all of you who have followed me through my 3 moves, referred me to your friends and family, been a repeated and consistent presence in my life and put food on my table year after fantastic year but also to those who have just recently found me, I want to say THANK YOU! Good Morning!! Boy, have I missed you all. I find myself talking to my neighbors, who I absolutely adore, but they can't get rid of me. I miss our talks or just your smiles, those of you who don't talk on the table. I want to start a discussion about what measures it will take for you to feel comfortable coming back for massage once the city and the Tx licensing board deems it safe. I have already made some decisions and have some items on order that I feel good about adding to my practice. But I want to hear your thoughts, please. I am very much open to suggestions from you. Happy Friday the 13th!!!!

Self care is so important, especially now, when we are bombarded with disconcerting news updates constantly. It is crucial to me that you all stay healthy. That being said, if you have a sore throat, a fever or a cough, please, please, reschedule your massage. I am taking extra precautions to ensure all of my clients are safe. My massage room, and bathroom are wiped down between each and every appointment now. You will find disinfecting wipes and hand sanitizer in the bathroom. Door k***s, light switches and the toilet handle are also cleaned between each appointment. In edition, I have my diffuser going both in my living room and my massage room and I have been burning my sage daily. I have to say, at this time, I am so thankful to be working from home where I can have complete control over the cleanliness of my space. Take care of yourselves

Happy New Year!!! I hope the last trip around the sun brought you all health and happiness. I was trying to think of the things that I want to cultivate in the coming year and would like to hear your thoughts on your goals for 2020. I am motivated to really stay in the present this year and not concern myself with the future or the past. I will strive to take in everything that the present moment has to offer me. I also want to find a quiet calm in the challenging moments. What are your plans? And make sure your plans for 2020 include time for you. I can help where that's concerned, call today to set up a massage or plan to attend one of my Yin Yoga classes offered Wednesday mornings at 11am or Thursday evenings at 6:30pm. Yin, if your are unfamiliar, is a breath centered practice that includes meditation, long held stretches targeting the opening and increased flexibility of joints and if you attend the morning class, sometimes some balance work.

Hey there beautiful people! I just wanted to give you all a head's up... First, my evening yoga class this week is pushed up to Wednesday at 6:30p. I will still have my morning class offered that day as well, (11a). Also, this year I'm taking the week of Christmas off so my availabilities are filling quickly. I have a couple of times this week Thursday and Friday. Next week I still have openings throughout the week.

I'm trying something different this year during the holidays. I am taking appointments on Mondays through the rest of November and December. This year I will still be offering my normal holiday gift certificate prices, $50/hr and $70/1 1/2hr (for gifts only) through November and December. Today I am remembering how grateful I am to have this zany little human sharing life with me. (taken in 2012) She woke up today cracking jokes and had me LMAO. What a great way to start the day! I know most of you know her as quiet and subdued. She's anything but at home most days so here's a peek into her radiant spirit! Share with me something or someone you are grateful to have in your life.

In continuing with my 30 days of gratitude posts, I need to acknowledge that I didn't post yesterday and let me just say that I am grateful for days I can turn off and just use auto pilot. Yesterday I took a break from thinking and was able to just do. Which also leads me to say that while I am always grateful for the work that I do and the people I get to work with, time off is also appreciated. So on that note, I'll share an image, no, 2 images from the vacation I took back in June. If you have never seen the slot canyons in Arizona, it is soooo worth a trip there.

Grateful to live in a vibrant city full of culture and tradition! Dia de los Mu***os!!

This is my favorite time of year, we celebrate my daughter's birth, we feed candy to strangers and we aren't being creepy, we pretend to be someone else, knowing we always get to come back to ourselves, and we give thanks. This year I'd like to share with you the things I'm grateful for and I'd love for you to share with me as well.

When I was in massage school, one of our teachers had us do a gratitude journal. It's truly magical how changing our conscience thoughts can profoundly change the way we go through our day. I'll start, day 1, I'm really thankful today that I remembered to bring in Herman, our turtle, inside before he froze to death (got cold really early this year, right?). I'm also so blessed to have some wonderful friends and feel like I can go anywhere never feeling alone. Ok, now you... Go! Here's a pic of our Herman before he outgrew his tank and went to live outside.
