Black and whites have always been my favorite.

I don’t advertise for newborn portraits, and I rarely accept bookings for them. But when I do, they always turn out to be some of my favorite moments captured.

I had the honor of taking this sweet family’s maternity photos last month, and when Ashley messaged me asking if I’d take their newborn photos, I definitely hesitated, because I don’t consider myself an ideal newborn photographer (long story that maybe I’ll share one day). But alas, I said yes, and I’m so happy I did.

We ended up planning this in two days, and opted for a simple early morning session at Ashley’s family farm, and even though it was hot, it was so worth it.

I had the absolute privilege of capturing some dear friends of ours maternity photos this past weekend, and they’re easily some of my favorite shots to this day.

The goal is never perfectly posed. The goal is always connection. To capture a true representation of who you are, complete with all of the quirks and imperfections. Let’s slow things down for a little while, and allow time to stand still so you can remember what it feels like.

When you want family photos, but also want something different.. ✨

When Haley first came to me with her idea of matching sneakers for their family session, I was a little skeptical, but definitely intrigued. We started planning, and soon realized that a field wasn’t going to cut it. I threw out the idea of a rooftop downtown, and from there the vision came to life! It couldn’t have been more perfectly them!

Everything about my new website just feels like me. I wanted something that had personality, and this just felt right. Moody, edgy, funky, editorial.

I’m so excited for where this journey is taking me, and I feel so lucky to be able to share it with all of my amazing clients! Without y’all, this would literally still be just a dream.

Here’s my official back from vacation post ✨

It was full of some much needed R&R with my favorite people, but I’m definitely glad to be back! I had the sweetest courthouse elopement on Monday, and I can’t wait to share more from that, but I’m really excited to announce two new projects I’ve been working on.

“Why do you wanna marry me for anyhow?” “So I can kiss ya anytime I want”

The dreamiest, moodiest, most romantic engagement session for some of my absolute favorite people. Megan is my sister’s best friend, and has modeled for me numerous times throughout the years, and I was so excited when she asked me to take her engagement photos!

We started their session as the storm had just started rolling in in the distance, and had to jump back in our vehicles after about 30 minutes hoping the rain would let up for a bit. When it didn’t, we made the decision to go out in it and make the best of it. And boy was it a great move. It felt like we were living out the beach scene in Sweet Home Alabama, and I think these have to be some of my favorite photos ever.

It was so fun and spontaneous, and a reminder that sometimes “bad weather” isn’t really all that bad.

I’ll be out of office starting tomorrow for a much needed vacation, but I’ll definitely be sharing more from this session when I get back!

My toxic trait is that I get bored easily, and constantly need a challenge or something new to keep me going. I’ve definitely had talks with myself about niching down, and I know it’d probably be better for my sanity, but then I get these cool opportunities, and my little creative heart just can’t say no 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m having a full circle moment here. I used to babysit this beautiful mama, and now she’s having babies of her own 🥹

It’s not your budget. Or the perfectly curated room you get ready in. Or even your color scheme.

While yes, those things are all cosmetically appealing, and definitely help with the overall aesthetic, those are all surface level things.

Wanna know what really makes a wedding picture perfect?

All of your favorite people gathered in one place to celebrate your love. People watching is one of my favorite things to do on a wedding day. Seeing everyone interact with one another, the laughter and the tears. I can have seen a million weddings, and it’ll still give me shivers every single time.

Seeing spread on and wedding had me reminiscing on this dreamy wedding from this past winter.
