Wow

This is Nadia Nadim. She was born in Afghanistan. Her father was murdered by the Taliban when she was 11 years old and her family fled to Denmark on the back of a truck.

Nadia has scored almost 200 goals in professional football and represented the Danish national team 98 times.

She's completed medical school and is studying to become a reconstructive surgeon when her playing days are over.

She speaks 11 languages fluently and is on the Forbes list of Most Powerful Women in International Sports.

If you want to show your daughter a role model, show her Nadia Nadim.... not the Kardashians.

We are now able to provide video visits during regular office hours. Please call the office to set this up. Hope this is helpful for some of you. My staff will screen your call to determine if a video is appropriate. Some things will still need to be seen in the office.

In reference to San Antonio's "Stay Home, Work Safe" order effective this evening, this is to notify our clients that our clinic is considered an essential service to our community. Thus, we are open and here for your children's healthcare needs. We are taking all precautions for the safety of our clients and team. A special THANK-YOU to our staff for their dedication to our clients and patients during this outbreak.

These are very trying and frustrating times, but with some carefully considered changes and effort, we can all get through this. Our patients and staffs health and safety are our utmost concern, and we must adapt and alter some things in order to ensure everyone is taken care of.
It is our intention to stay open and continue seeing patients (although somewhat limited) through this COVID-19 crisis. Some alterations to our schedule and operating procedures are being made effective immediately. We are unsure how long these changes will continue, but we’ll do our best to keep you updated and informed as this fluid situation evolves.
Everyone entering the office (patient and caregiver) must undergo a temperature screening. If caregiver is sick, please stay home and make alternative arrangement.
Well Child Visits:
1) We will only be seeing well child visits for children 4 years old and younger for the time being. Those appointment for older children already scheduled will need to be cancelled for now, and will be accommodated at a later date.
2) Vaccines will still be administered at the recommended schedules for these patients
3) Newborns needing newborn screens(PKU) will be routed to the appropriate locations(some hospitals have relocated where these are done to insure safety)
4) If your child becomes ill before your scheduled appointment, please notify us as early as possible, so we can determine the appropriate action. If the caregiver is ill, please notify us also, so the appointment can be rescheduled.
5) Please do not bring other children or extended family members to appointments, even if they’re well. Only one person will be allowed to accompany patients to their well visit.
6) If the parent/caregiver is pregnant, please stay home. Please find a designated alternate to bring the child, or reschedule to a later date.
Sick Visits:
1) You MUST call the office before visiting the practice for any reason (including picking up forms/shot records). We will not be accepting walk-in patients at this time. All patients/visitors must be pre-screened.
2) The following screening criteria must be met before scheduling an appointment:
a) Have you traveled out of the country or out of state in the past 2 weeks?
b) Have you come in contact with a person know to be positive for COVID-19?
c) Are you having any of the following symptoms: fever above 100.4, cough, shortness of breath?
Virtual Visits:
We are in the process of setting up virtual visits. These will be available for some conditions starting (hopefully) sometime next week. More details will become available regarding this as soon as we have it.

If you have any further questions, feel free to contact the office at 210-692-0358. We apologize in advance for any delays and are doing our best to keep up with this rapidly evolving and stressful situation.

Best regards,

Bruce R. Lantry, M.D.
Lisa Romero (office manager)
Yadeli Moreno (senior medical assistant)
Ardis Garcia (receptionist)
Samantha Escamilla (medical assistant)
