Thanks for stopping by!
My December socks for the are complete! This KAL has been a real highlight of my year. It has taught me a lot and pushed me out of my knitting comfort zone, and I have met some truly wonderful people in the process. Thank you so much and for hosting, and to and for being the absolute best mods.
My first 5 days of Home for the Holidays Advent. I still don’t have a project lined up, but I am enjoying opening up a new box every day. I’m so incredibly pleased with every colorway so far.
The coat and pants are still wet from blocking (I suppose that is fitting considering the context), but I just couldn’t wait to see a preview of how my is going to look. It is seriously so cute! And even if I don’t get any more pieces complete this year, at least Santa has his suit!
I was feeling like I needed a quick win yesterday, so I decided to start some Christmas knitting. Here is the first piece of Santa’s Laundry Line, a free pattern by Eleonore von Castelmur on Ravelry. How clever is this little Santa coat? 🎅🏼☺️
The big meal is over, now back to our regularly scheduled holiday weekend 🥰
It has been brought to my attention that it has been a while since I’ve posted some yarny content 😅 so I thought I would share my finished October and November socks for the

For November I test knitted the by using yarn from
Hopefully I will have a WIP update soon on my current projects, maybe even some new FOs over the long Thanksgiving weekend ☺️🦃🧶
First day (or should I say morning) wearing hand knit socks of the season 🍂 while it’s 55 degrees now it will still get up to nearly 80 today so these may be short lived. I’ll enjoy them while I can.

Just winding yarn is boring, my adorable assistant likes to add his own flair 💁🏼♂️
My for the fiber content is 74% merino, 20% cashmere, 5% nylon, and 1% dog fur 😂
Yarn is on their primo fi*****ng base.
I have never knit a design before, but my friends have convinced me to join the
After choosing my yarn I decided it needed a new project bag, so whipped up this roomy zipper bag tonight.
My kiddo didn’t want to be left out, so he put together his own project kit complete with yarn and needles 😂
Now I just need to get the yarn caked up and await the first clue 🕵️♀️☺️🧶
Another month coming to a close, another pair of socks complete.
I brought this yarn with me on my visit to my parents’ place in Maine with the intention of making myself some shorties, but my mom fell in love with them, and who am I to deprive my life giver of some hand knit socks? She also agreed to model them- it is SO much easier to get good photos of socks on somebody else’s feet 😆
Yarn is Knit Picks Felici In Vampire Vibes with solid black for heels/toes/cuffs
Spending long overdue time with my family at the lake in Maine. Feeling the working on some Halloween socks for
A new pair of socks off the needles for August, and these ones are my own design 😊 Introducing the Prairie Verbena Socks!
I am planning on writing the pattern up, but the next few weeks I will be busy (hopefully) getting ready and traveling to Maine and Vermont to visit family I haven’t seen in nearly 2 years. Of course I will be packing plenty of yarn in my suitcase 🧶 🧳
I decided to change up the knitting with my first crochet project in many years. I really love how it came out, and it has already been claimed by my mom 🥰
I finished up some fun shorties made with some leftover yarn from
It’s my own pattern, and I really love how the ribbed section hugs the instep of my foot. My plan is to eventually replace all my socks with hand knit, so I think there are many more of these in my future!
I FINALLY finished my July socks. I ended up knitting 3 socks in total, so it felt like it took forever to finish.
These are knit in Unconquerable Sole BFL in the colorway Believe.
I learned that BFL has less elasticity than merino wool, so my normal needle size and stitch count just didn’t work!
In the end I’m so glad that I took the time to make these fit, I love how they came out ❤️❄️🧦

Two pairs for June finished!
A little bit of what I’ve been up to lately...
Another pair of socks to add to my rainbow 🌈
Yarn: Frenzy in colorway Snake’s Pride
I joined the round 4 tonight after spending a good chunk of my weekend knitting. Now that I’ve sorted out the yarn management for all my vertical stripes, the second one should go much more quickly- or at least I hope so because I definitely won’t have as much time to dedicate during the week.
Main color is frenzy base in the colorway Mrs Fraser, contrast colors are leftovers from other projects.
What to do between rounds of when I’m left with no socks on the needles? Make mini versions of socks I’ve already knit this year! It was really fun to try to scale down the patterns while still keeping them recognizable.
These are the squishiest, comfiest, socks I’ve ever knit. The rich color of the yarn mixed with the beautiful texture of the pattern is 😍😍 They are a test knit for and I can’t wait until I can wear them!
Sock Madness qualified! Now on to more sock knitting 🧦🧶
Does anybody else see what I see 👀🗿🤪
I’m still waiting for the pattern for to be released, so I made a matching project bag for the March Rainbow Sock Chronicles
“Knitting keeps me from unraveling” truer words have never been spoken. I LOVE this tumbler the talented Amira of Fairly Crafty customized for me! https://www.facebook.com/groups/464200637522275/?ref=share
I’m all ready to start tomorrow, as well as and Rainbow Sock Chronicles knit along March socks. I used some leftover fabric from yesterday’s project bag to make a matching notions pouch 🥰. Yarn is: Sterling on her Rapture base, and Raspberry Orange on their Magnolia Sock base
