As someone who has been licensed in the industry for 22 years, who’s owned a lash bar for 8 years and a beauty school for 2 years, I truly believe in these principles!

#1: there is enough for everyone in this industry! You only need to compete with yourself. If you believe it’s you against the world, change your mindset. People will come to you for your individual personality and how you make them feel.

#2: this is really important! You don’t want to be known as the person that bad mouths others. This is a big red flag. My mom always said, if someone talks about others, they will turn around and talk about you. It’s not professional or classy.

#3: you can always learn new things and how to do it better than yesterday. The day you know it all is the day you stop growing.

#4 be willing to pass the torch and mentor someone who is where you used to be! If this scares you, then it’s nothing more than insecurity, when you are secure with yourself, you want to see others succeed.

Being a true boss means you are secure in yourself and what you can offer the world. You aren’t threatened by what others around you do and you certainly don’t make it a goal to spread hate. You are too busy focusing on and building your empire.

The lash specialty license only covers lash extensions in the state of Texas. If you are interested in performing other services, such as lash lifts and brow lamination, you can get the Esthetician license to legally provide the service.
