Beware the ducks (Egyptian geese) on NVC campus! They're hungry for knowledge, not bread! Did you know, Egyptian geese are not native to North America? These beautiful birds were imported from their native home in Africa, but happened to escape private ponds and aviaries. Their appearance can confuse you since they closely resemble a duck. However, the best way to identify them as Egyptian geese is by their chestnut-colored patches around their eyes. #didyouknow #wildlife #ducks #nvclibrary
