Couple of pictures after the move this weekend. Remember our cows are Vegan so you don’t have to be.
Moving them onto fresh grass and out of spoiled areas keeps the bellies full and allows the land to heal. Invigorating the pasture and exciting the flora in the soil. Sequestering carbon and increasing water infiltration. Go Cows 🐮!!!!

Getting ID ear tags in the new babies this afternoon. We use ear tags to help us count and record growth of the individual calves. Time to introduce them to the rest of the herd. It’s not always petting cows and moving fence here at Hamilton Cattle Company.
Thanks Kenny Magenny at Cross Sabors Ranch in Harwood TX for the newest members of Hamilton Cattle Company. Now for some electric fence training. Im sure they will catch on quickly. These Red Angus are super docile and easy to work. Keeps the stress low for the rancher and the cattle.
It was a little wet today. I poured 2.5 inches out of the rain gauge when we left to pick up the calves. Then I poured out another inch when we left for the evening.
