2.5 hours of time.

First we added teasy lights throughout her hair with Goldwell Oxycur lightener with 20 volume developer.

Inbeteeen the teasy lights, I added a low lighted pop of dimension with 8n color sync by Mateiz with 10 volume developer. The lowlights were brushed down 1/4 to half of the way to just add dimension on top and to add depth. If you want your blonde color to pop, you need this to make it look whiter and brighter.

After rinsing her hair, I added 9PA and 10v Paul Mitchell Demi shines glaze(root blend) to her roots about 2-4 inches down including the hair line. She just had a baby, and she wanted less maintenance which is why I brought the root blend down further so she isn’t needing to come back into the salon every 6 weeks to touch up her highlights.

On the rest of her hair, I used the 9PA,10V and clear equal parts PM Demi shines glaze. Processed for 10 minutes. You can see in the before and after photo how much cooler toning makes her hair look. I can’t stress enough how everyone should get toning even if it is a clear gloss. It has a lot of shine, protects your hair and seals the cuticle to prevent damage. It is deposit only. Lasts 4-8 weeks, so if you wait months to come back into the salon, your hair will need refreshing.

After shampooing and conditioning with Olaplex (my favorite), I used Olaplex 6 to help smooth her ends and applied from the ends up. I also used it’s a 10 detangling spray. Then I dried half way and applied Biosilk ail therapy. Her hair was pretty tangled after teasing her hair all over with foils in her hair.

Lastly I curled her hair by sectioning it out and adding beach waves. Finger combed her hair and added Mondo Verde keratin therapy to her ends.

This created a much cooler, dimensional blonde for Spring.

This is what it takes to get from medium/dark brown (no box dyes or that would change the whole game plan) to blonde beautiful, safely with no damage.

This model is a level 4/5 and this is the lightest I have lifted her so far. It takes time to achieve the level of lightness depending on what your base level hair color starts out at.
I started by re-touching her root base with Paul Mitchell The Color in 7PA and 7cb 20 vol for 20 minutes. Then I shampooed her, added PPE protection spray by Mondo Verde, semi-dried and address heavy baby foils through out her hair with emphasis around the hairline for maximum visibility.
After rinsing and pre toning with Matrix Professional Hair Color & Care Brass off shampoo, I used Paulmitchellcolor Deminshines glaze in 9PA and 9v for 10 minutes throughout her hair. Shampooed and conditioned with Olaplex. Styled with Olaplex oil and number 6. Blow dried abs sprayed It’s a ten protection spray, added barrel curls with release at the ends and finished with Keratin therapy by Mondo Verde. The results are a more brilliant blended icy, yet dimensional blonde.
