Hey Go To Chocolate Fans!
Thank you friends family(ies) customers and vendors for being part of the Go To Chocolate Team. We would be nothing without all of you.
I like to measure our success by the amount of friendships and relationships we've made and maintained over the years. By this standard we are truly a rich company and family. Again, thank you all so much! Hope you all were able to celebrate to the fullest over the holiday season and want to wish you all the Happiest New year in 2023.
Another reason for this post is to let you know that nothing bad has happened but we won't be able to be at his Saturday's College of San Mateo's Farmer's Market. You all know how I feel about missing a market so also know that if I could I would be there.
If there should be a true Chocolate Emergency email me and I'll see if there's anything I can do, otherwise see you next year!

Just wanted to thank everyone, friends family, and all those of you who continue to support Go To Chocolate week in and week out. Without it we wouldn’t be here! If you didn’t hear about it we shared the KQED Live stage with a couple other world class Chocolatiers last night. If you saw it thanks for watching. We had such a blast!
If you didn’t it’s on YouTube:
KQED Live “The Art of the Bon Bon”.
Sorry I couldn’t figure out how to copy and paste the link here. I’ll just stick to being a chocolate expert!
Thanks again!

Hey Go To Chocolate Peeps!
No farmer’s market in Half Moon Bay due to the Pumpkin Festival tomorrow, however I’ll be at the College of San Mateo Farmer’s Market and if you hadn’t heard my famous Caramel Apples are back! Plenty of other goodie’s too and your favorite hot chocolate.
Hope to see you there!

So I hear it’s supposed to be triple digit heat in the east bay this weekend.
If you want some relief from the heat and a taste of Greek culture come on over to the Belmont Greek Festival this Saturday and Sunday over the Labor Day weekend.
Food drink and dance and a chance to be Greek!

Sorry for the last minute notice but our market staff person is unable to be present for the HMB market tomorrow.
I will be at the CSM market should anyone desire to make the trip for Easter Bunny "Baskets" or marshmallow bunnies coated in dark chocolate plus all the usual offerings.
Sorrrrryyyy......

Hey Go To Chocolate Followers!
Hoping for better things to come as a nation we deal with the Covid-19 Pandemic.
I've been able to source just enough ingredients and supplies to keep things going as I have continued to sell at the College of San Mateo Farmer's Market only missing one Saturday due to the college's own shut down about 3 weeks ago. Last week was the first Half Moon Bay Farmer's Market of the season. In the past my wife Thalia has always done this market but due to some immune system compromising health issues at the end of last year one of our young staff members stepped up and became "next woman up".
I am putting a shout out to see if there's anyone that's interested and willing and with a vehicle that can handle it, work this farmer's market at least until the situation changes with social distancing and all the other things that go along with it change. Our bright little star worker and her family are reticent to send her out into harm's way and I don't blame them. I know there is significant risk but the market manager in HMB and we here at Go To Chocolate are following all the guidelines and mandates to be as safe as possible.
I know this is a weird way to get the word out but desperate times equal desperate measures.
If anyone's interested private message me and I'll fill you in on any other details and or answer any questions you may have.
Thanks for everyone's support thus far in helping to keep Go To Chocolate afloat.
Sincerely,
Michael the "Go To Chocolate Guy"

I woke up feeling a little guilty and a little selfish. When I found out late yesterday that the College of San Mateo Farmer's Market was re-opening this Saturday I blatantly asked everyone to come on out and buy stuff.
It's true small businesses and small independent farms need your support. Many of us may fall or close for good not being able to keep up with the bills or rent.
If you're like me and have gone out shopping everyday this week only to find empty shelves and cleaned out produce bins, no frozen veggies, etc., then by all means come out to the farmer's market.
However if you're symptomatic or you think you may have been exposed to the virus, if you know someone that's gotten sick since you were with them recently please stay home.
If you do come out please take all the precautions you can or that have been advised for social distancing and allowing for the least amount of exposure possible.
As many of us are Sole Proprietors we also can't afford to be sick for any extended period of time.
We're all in this together and hopefully for the "long haul".
To recap, yes we need your support to continue to provide you with wares, services and products but please, only come out if it is a necessity to keep you and yours fed with the good food you all deserve.
Thanks for all your support!

Okay so I'm all late in getting information out there about getting Go To Chocolate Products during the "Shelter-In" Coronavirus outbreak, as you saw from my earlier post this morning. And now I just got word from the College of San Mateo Market Manager that the market has permission to re-open this Saturday. Yay! A bit of a bright spot amongst all the other bad news out there.
We will be located in a different spot for the time being at the lot located BELOW the Beethoven lot where normally the motorcycle riders get certified. I don't know where I'll be within that lot yet myself.
I don't think you'll find any toilet paper or cleaning supplies but if you had a hard time finding fruit and veggies, bacon and other meat products everybody should be back on Saturday. Or at least I hope so and hope to see you there. Thanks for all the support and kind words while dealing with the unknown.

Hey Everybody,
Sorry for the delay in getting some information out there about Go To Chocolate during the "Shelter-In" and Coronavirus outbreak.
As you know the College of San Mateo Farmer's Market is closed at least through the end of March and probably part of April. So how do you get Go To Chocolate products in the mean time? First, as long as the USPS is operational you can still place orders through our website. In lieu of the farmer's markets and or until they resume, you can let me know what products you want via texting to 650-339-1900 or email [email protected]. We can then arrange payment using a credit card. Once that process is completed we'll arrange a pick up time from the factory. If you choose the pick up method you can expect up to a 10% discount in my efforts to honor your support while we all deal with the current health crisis. Go To Chocolate will continue this effort until the farmer's market's resume or we can no longer acquire the ingredients necessary to make our products. The current state of hoarding has made purchasing sugar and dairy products virtually impossible at least for now.
Wishing you all safety from this global disaster and to keep peace in your hearts.
Thanks for your efforts doing all you can during this time.
Michael
