We are moving to NorCal at the end of the month, so Cakies’ Bakes will no longer be serving San Diego. I can still ship within the state, so if you need cookies or other non frosted goodies, I’d be happy to ship to you!

I know I’ve been quiet on here recently, we’ve had a lot going on this past month! Lots of traveling, family events, and just overall life.

I did want to share the birthday cake I made for my son! He’s obsessed with Daniel Tiger (it’s the only thing he watches right now 😬), so I knew I had to do something fun for his cake. So I decided on a trolley cake!

He loved it, and it was delicious. It is a Funfetti cake, with vanilla buttercream, and some fondant pieces.

I had the joy of making these treats for my sisters bridal shower (she’s having a big ceremony in May).

Cupcakes were funfetti with white chocolate buttercream, my famous chocolate chip cookies, and funfetti cookies! Can you tell my sister loves funfetti? 😉

Starbucks inspired cake. One of my best friends is the manager opening a new store (I’m so proud!!) and she requested a cake for her staff. 4 layer Red velvet cake with cream cheese flavored frosting.

I recently made my own birthday cake, and wanted to try some new piping tips and coloring techniques. This is a thin mint inspired cake, black cocoa frosting with a hint of mint, chocolate cake, and crushed thin mints inside. So yummy! And so pretty to look at.

Phew, finally done baking. I feel like I’ve been baking for a month, but it’s been awesome. I’ve done a bunch of new recipes, which have been met with great feedback, and new designs which has been so fun!

Pictured are some of my bakes: chocolate peppermint whoopie pies, gingerbread cupcakes with cinnamon cream cheese frosting, melted snowman cookies, spice cake with cream cheese flavored frosting, DIY kit, and treat box. 😬

Did you know that you can freeze a lot of left over or extra ingredients?

I had a lot of leftover buttermilk, and will need it for Christmas baking. I put 1 cup into each bag. When I’m ready to use, I’ll just put it in the fridge the night before to thaw.

If you’re freezing liquids, I recommend placing on a baking sheet or flat surface to freeze, then can transfer to freezer shelves.

Other things you can freeze: butter, eggs, citrus juice and zest, pre made cookie dough, and most baked goods!

After resting after a week of baking, I wanted to share these delicious cupcakes I made for a party!

7 dozen chocolate s’mores cupcakes. Graham cracker crust, chocolate cupcake, with a marshmallow fluff buttercream, topped with Graham crackers and chocolate squares. These are my new favorite cupcakes!

Apple Cinnamon Muffins went out today, they made the house smell so good!

These have a delicious cinnamon crumble on top, and nice pieces of apples in it.

I prefer shredded apple (I don’t like fruit chunks in my baked goods), but these are still delicious!

Do you prefer chunks or shreds? Or none?!

Took in a care package/thanksgiving thank you treats for my sons doctor and staff today. Pumpkin bread and pumpkin chocolate chip cookies.
