Roseville City School District is a preschool-8th grade district comprised of 21 unique schools.
This is the official page for the Roseville City School District (RCSD). We serve K-8 students throughout Roseville and take pride in offering specialized programs such as International Baccalaureate (IB), Gifted and Talented Education (GATE), Advancement via Individual Determination (AVID), Special Education, Transitional Kindergarten and so much more. Check here often to stay up-to date on alumni news, special events, school news and student recognition.
Back to school shopping? Keep in mind that our students are following a revised mobile device policy this year! No devices during the school day as we're committed to providing a focused learning environment for all students. For more information, visit our Family Information Webpage: rcsdk8.org/digital-resources.
Did you know that limiting mobile device use during school can improve academic performance? Studies show that reducing distractions helps students concentrate and succeed in class. Learn more about our revised mobile device policy: rcsdk8.org/digital-resources.
Looking for ways to help your child adjust to our new mobile device policy? Encourage them to leave their personal devices at home or turned-off in their backpacks during school hours. This way, they can focus on their studies and make the most of their school day! Learn more here: rcsdk8.org/digital-resources.
RCSD is proud to launch ParentSquare for school communication, primarily with email, text and app notifications. ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent/guardian in RCSD, using their preferred email address and phone number. We encourage families to access their accounts so they can download the mobile app and update their preferences on when and how they are notified.
Please note: ParentSquare is currently experiencing some data inconsistencies with parent/guardian names and contacts. We hope to have this issue resolved in the next day or two, but if it is not resolved, please feel free to reach out in the comments section of the ParentSquare post and someone will help to troubleshoot your account.
Here’s what you can do with ParentSquare:
-Receive messages from the school via email, text or app notification
-Choose to receive information as it comes or all at once with a daily digest at 6pm
-Communicate in your preferred language
-Comment on school postings to engage with your school community
-Direct message teachers, staff and other parents
-Participate in group messages
-Sign up for parent-teacher conferences
-Send payments, sign forms & permission slips, receive report cards, sign up to volunteer and more all from your desktop or mobile device
Reminder: Our revised mobile device policy will be in effect for the 2024-25 school year, beginning on August 8th! This means students cannot use personal devices (phones, smart watches, bluetooth headphones, etc.) during school hours. Students can use district-assigned Chromebooks for any school-related online needs. Check out our Family Information Webpage for more details: rcsdk8.org/digital-resources.
