Orange Tree 01
For this surreal landscape study in orange and blue, I wanted it to be mysteriously and ambiguously underlit, as well as to showcase both the smooth and the rough qualities of chalk pastel. version 1, May 2015.

Green Flash At The Ocean Beach Pier 01

It is actually just the reaction in your retinas to the sudden shift in lighting, but I have never seen anyone try to do a painting of it, so I thought I would give it a shot. This one was down at the Ocean Beach Pier in July of 2018. November 2018.
