Very exited that my raku group sculpture was accepted at the North Coastal Art Gallery Fine Art Regional Juried Show. These sculptures embody the concept of ‘LIVING GREEN’ and the importance of preserving the Earth for future generations. The ‘TERRA FIRMA FAMILY’ represents the idea that our actions, big or small, can make a difference in protecting our planet and maintaining its beauty, harmony, and balance.

Four little vases - a commission from my customer who sent me the horsehair of her beloved deceased horse to use on the vases. She gives them as gifts to her close friends! Don’t you think it is such a wonderful and meaningful idea?

ZEN CERAMICS

“My strongest inspiration comes from Mother nature and its weathering influences on the shape of trees, rocks, plants and animals both on land and underwater”. My ceramics are often hand-built or thrown and altered. I am fascinated with shapes and forms and how they work together with color and texture. The process of integrating various natural media with clay, like natural stones, sand and wood to create dynamics has a great appeal to me. It is fascinating to take something essentially flat and turn it into organic form with volume creating a synergy between layered color, texture and movement.
