Tag That Nurse Who Understands.
🫠ARE YOU SERIOUS???🤦🏻♂️
Well, after 10+ years of telling patients to
“Get rest & take care of themselves following Discharge Orders”, Guess who’s now on the receiving end? 🙋🏻♂️ Sheeit, That’s right, I’ve
officially swapped my scrubs for a hospital
gown & here’s the (spoiler alert) they’re just
as uncomfortable as you think. 💯
So working as a Registered Nurse in
Critical Care,
PACU,
MedSurg,
Tele,
SNF,
and Cardiac Recovery teaches you strength, compassion, time management and resilience,
BUT it also teaches you how vulnerable we all
are when you least expect it.
I will say it’s a……Whole. New. World on the
other side, But GOOD NEWS is that I’ll be
back sooner than later. No Biggie. S**t happens.
Lastly, this is my official reminder to all my Fellow & Nurses: Don’t forget to care for yourself because eventually, you’ll end up where I am.
Anyhow, it’s time for me to Follow my DC instructions and rest up,
binge on new Netflix shows,
inhale some Uber Eats and follow up with my Sports Doc later this week.
.
😷Tag that nurse, We all have 99 problems
and they’re all due next Monday right? Lol.
😷Well it’s Saturday My Fellow NurseGang
and I bet you’re writing that infamous
pathophysiology paper,
writing Careplans,
studying Math Doasage Calculations,
or Studying for your exam that will be
coming around the corner real soon.
“No manches.”🤦🏻♂️.
😷I want to hear your nursing confessions
so comment about what you’re Writing or
Studying as we speak for nursing school
my fellow NurseBrothers and NurseSisters & don’t forget throw in what semester you
are currently in. I had to clarify for those
hardworking students who may have had
less than 3 hours of sleep (insomnia)😴.
😷If I was able to do it, 🇲🇽then sabes que?
“Si se puede, si se puede, si se puede”

😷Can you say Team Bonding!!! 😉🙌🏽
Nothing beats spending a summer day
with your nursing healthcare colleagues
at a get-together party! ☀️🏖️ because
after all the hard work,
it’s so refreshing
to relax,
laugh,
chill,
reminisce,
and bond outside the hospital.
Whether it’s grilling,
playing games,
talking sheeit,
or just soaking up the sun,
these moments remind us why our team
is truly a family. Cheers to the amazing
people we get to work with every day! 🩺❤️

🥱The Nursing School Grind Is Real AF💤💤💤
Nursing school feels like a mental Boot Camp every single day! 🧠💪 The challenges are real, but so is the determination to push through. From endless studying to intense clinicals, it’s a test of strength, resilience, and passion.
Every obstacle is just a step closer to the dream of becoming a nurse. We got this my future fellow NurseBrothers and NurseSisters! 🚑.
😷Yes, I can’t remember when I took this photo!! Haha 🙌🏽 and how many patients I recovered and how many patients I discharged today!!😉😂
Let’s do a poll today!!!
Type 1: accurate.
Type 2: somewhat accurate.
Type 3: once in awhile.
Type 4: never.

💊 Ankle fracture dislocation as a result
of skateboarding! The ankle was
reduced and fixed with a titanium

💊 The physical inspection should include
a neurovascular evaluation and a soft

scalding, swelling and carp formation.
Up to one third of dislocations due to
ankle fracture are presented as open
lesions.
💊 Pre-reduction x-rays can help identify
obvious concomitant injuries and rule
out trauma that can simulate fracture

Happy Nurses Week (Round4) to my fellow & healthcare eavesdropping experts! 🎉💉.
Let’s be real, between administering meds and chasing down lab results, we’ve also become unintentional experts of our coworkers’ drama. From whispered gossip at the nurses’ station to accidentally overhearing TMI phone calls, we’ve mastered the art of blending into the background while soaking up all the juicy details. lol 😂 jk
Here’s to the bad ass nursing heroes of hospital and may our poker faces remain strong, and our earplugs always close at hand! love yall!
To all of my followers who still have their grandpas, please give them a hug and tell them you love them!! 😍
Today represents one of the most important and memorable days during our Nurses Appreciation week; which is GOD’s most special gift in my life and that was the anniversary of my Grandpas passing on May 8th, 2017
He’s the reason why I wanted to be in the healthcare field to help others because of his resilience,
humility,
strength,
integrity,
humor,
compassionate care and the most important trait of all was his unshakable FAITH IN GOD. 🙏💪🏽🫀
Abuelito you will always remain in my heart & thank you for everything you have taught me because the knowledge is ridiculously powerful & valuable.
I already know what you’re going to tell me Grandpa!!! -“Mijo no te precupes, aqui yo estuve aquí todo el tiempo y nunca me
fui.” -Abuelito
This bible verse reminds me of you so much and I must share it with the whole 🌎 world, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” - Joshua1:9
I love you Abuelito my Bad Ass Mudufkn O.G.
🧔🏻♂️Happy Easter Sunday coming from the Mini Mendoza Familia to all of my Fellow NurseSisters and Brothers.
🐰Today’s Easter Sunday was spent hunting for them little eggs & making memories with my favorite little bunny! 🐰💕 From egg hunting for hidden treasures every moment with my two-year-old daughter is a precious gift. Here's to the joy of Easter and the love we share.
🙏🏽Matthew28:7 states, “And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you.”
#👧🏻 28:7
Good Friday represents a pivotal moment in our Christian faith that embodies things like sacrifice, redemption & the ultimate triumph of love over sin.
Now let’s get down to its core, so today serves as a reminder of the willingness from Jesus to endure suffering for our sake of humanity. Sheesh, 🤦🏻♂️that alone shows how much he loved us right? 😍
So let’s continue the story about how Jesus, the Son of God willingly accepted his own crucifixion as the biggest sacrifice of all in order to pay the penalty for our sins of humanity. Whoa, how can you not love him?
Do I need to say more? Hmm yes ok.
However, his crucifixion was seen as a fulfilled divine prophecy and the completion of God’s plan for salvation for yourself, myself and the whole world.
Jesus stated, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do” -Luke 23:34.
However, Good Friday is not just a day of grieving, it represents Hope. Remember that Jesus’ resurrection from the dead, signified victory over sin and death, offering the promise of eternal life to all who believe.
-I Love You 🫡
-Good Friday My Peeps.
👧🏻On to the next destination Pops.
Drop your knowledge my Fellow Colleagues.
When you’re affiliated with the Mendoza blood🩸line then you truly understand the bond you have with your loved one on another level. 😂 through the power of GOD.🙌🏽
So that narrows it down to the BIG MAN 🙏🏽 upstairs our creator, our Lord & Savior who knows, “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you; before you were born, I sanctified you; and I ordained you a prophet to the nations. -Jeremiah 1:5
The power of the Holy Spirit is within us & we must know how to let GOD lead us & direct us to our next journey together with my little Mendoza Mini Me. Ya pues, I’m done for the night. Buenas Noches!!

😷“TOP 10 NURSING PET PEEVES”
Welcome my fellow Critical Care Nurses & Aspiring Nurses as I’m here to discuss our Top 10 pet peeves. 😷So Here’s our Top 10 ways
to p**s your Registered Nurse Off🙌🏽
—————————————————
1. Have at least 10 medication allergies that Truly aren’t real allergies.
2. Pull out your NG tube, take off your oxygen mask or rip out your central line.
3. Stating your pain is “10/10” followed by chuckling at a funny meme on Instagram like this one.
4. Have your 14 visitors ask us to bring them food and drinks.
5. Call us “Hey Babe” or “Honey” especially with a male nurse.
6. Push your call light button seconds after we leave your room.
7. Bring your aunt or a good friend who has limited medical knowledge to question every decision we make & to point out our tiny bubbles in your IV, stating, “Air Can Kill You”🤦🏻♂️
8. Keep bending your wrist or elbows just to stop your IV from flowing over and over again.
9. Refuse or better yet, throw a fit when we have to check your vital signs to make sure your if there’s any changes.
10. Spit, curse, punch, kick or throw f***s.

😷I know we missed so many more, but we care curious what are your own nursing pet peeves from patients? Please comment in the comment section below.👇🏽
😷Welcome to Middle Finger Monday.
(Tag someone who needs the 😉finger)
Greetings my fellow and Nurses as we have another degloving injury in which an extensive section of this patients skin is completely torn off the underlying tissue, severing its blood supply.
Open degloving occurs when your skin and tissue is ripped away, exposing muscle, bone, or connective tissue. In some cases, the skin might still be partially attached as a flap near the wound.
Closed degloving injuries aren’t always visible. This makes them harder for doctors to diagnose. In some cases, they can cause a bruise, but this is usually the only visible symptom. Many closed degloving injuries involve a force that separates the top layer of skin and tissue from deeper tissues, leaving a space under the skin.
Degloving injuries invariably require major surgical interventions. Treatment options include replantation or revascularization of the degloved skins, or when these are not possible, skin grafts or skin flaps. While the preservation of the extremities and limbs is normally preferred, in some cases amputations may be advised or required. Post-operative physiotherapy is of particular importance for degloving injuries involving the hand.
