February is the New January.

The holiday season is busy…and stressful. Even the most of Fall and Winter moments have me at 10 from October through December. Between Christmas cards, seeing friends and just keeping up with my daughters events, dresses and play dates…I’m whooped.

And…I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I LOVE 💕 the Christmas Cheer and the holiday matching pajamas 👯‍♀️ fiascos! I don’t want to miss a single family on my card list or toasting 🥂 with old and new friends to a year well blessed. 🙌🏽

However, is when life begins to slow back to normalcy. The fantasy of the holiday season recedes and this has become my perfect NEW time to reflect, relax and recalm. For me January is now the time to get some much needed sunshine. ☀️ To indulge in the Art of Chill. I have always felt January 1st pressure. To make resolutions! To start this or stop that.

This January I chilled with friends, took a cruise, stuck my toes in some sweet, white sand and decided to make 2023 the year of No Pressure!

January was a month to travel and transform physically and spiritually. To veg out without Mom Guilt, to laugh extra hard and not focus on making 2023 perfect…but to make it lovely by starting it off by unwinding.

Life can move so fast that getting caught up doing the things that we SHOULD do takes away from the things that our soul desires to do…recharge.

So for me, my sweetheart Mother and Itty Bitty…we are going to make January a rejuvenation and a restoration period before jumping into the cold winter and the excitement of the New Year.

So we start our New Year on the First Day of Black History Month, February.
