It's tempting to skip straight to solutions when trying to bring about change -but taking the time to understand what’s stopping your audience from taking action pays dividends. Ignoring or making assumptions about why people are or are not adopting a behavior can waste resources or even backfire. Drivers of human behavior fall into three major categories - Means, Motivation and Memory.

We were saddened to hear that Daniel Kahneman, a towering figure in both psychology and economics, has passed away.
Kahneman revolutionized our understanding of the mind, and invented the field Root Solutions’ uses in our work to shift action for the better. He won a Nobel Prize in 2002 for this work in Behavioral Economics. Kahneman led a long and extremely productive life until the end - and his intellectual legacy will live much, much longer
