One of the best moments is definitely when the untamed makes eye contact with the tamed one.

Happie, not happier
Who wants to be happy? In theory, everyone. I often times expect that I should be happy by default. Such a weird thought.
Without putting in the effort to be happy or to have habits that make me happy, how am I supposed to be happy? Don't we all know our mind so easily gets distracted by negative thoughts. I personally have a triple doctorate in overthinking. I concocted scenarios that never happened. Take that, AI.
Recently, I saw a reel about gratitude, and it just hit me differently. It would be a big fat lie to say it totally changed my life. But it made me think!
About the power of giving the benefit of the doubt to others. By others, I don't mean a random Tom walking on the street. But to my family, my dearest friends, and my colleagues with whom I work day in and day out.
I practiced it for half a day. Because my mind couldn't resist the urge to feel negative. But hey, half a day at a time... I will take that.
You know what I got from that HALF A DAY? I had way less anxiety. I was communicating more with a few friends as I normally would despite the cobwebs in my mind due to my thoughts. I didn't discard the "actual," "tangible" negative things that were happening. Because giving the benefit of the doubt is not about accepting bad behavior.
It is all about strengthening personal character. And who doesn't want a compassionate, generous, and open mindset?
My dad always says - give it your best; rest is not in your hands. So here's to giving myself my best shot. If you read till here, Thank you 🙂
