Here are 3 ways on how rain can damage your car’s paint.
1. Rain water collects pollutants and contaminants from the air which creates “acid rain”. When the rain water dry up on your car it will lessen your car lustrous and shiny exterior, or even leave water marks.
2. Rain water evaporate and leave a layer of pollutant that damage your car paint. This is similar to what acid rain can do to your car as said above. Therefore you need to wash your car right after the raining day in order to minimize the harmful effect it can bring to your car paint. You may not notice the effect, but the rain water is eating up the clear coat paint slowly.
3. Rain water doesn’t mean it will clean your car. Almost every time after the rain, it make your car dirtier as dirt and grime would further accumulate on the pain surface, it is just not visible in human eyes. Well the best thing to do is to wash your car as soon as possible after the rain. Therefore you will be able to protect the clear coat and make your car shine as long as possible.
