This statement choker is made of hundreds of natural Quartz stone chips and some natural white Jade stones in the pendant.

I chose simply solid colors of the beads itself and not much designing as this brings out the most elegance out of it. The silver pendant sits in contrast of the dark blue lapis and gives the best kind of balance you can want.

This week is going to be all about Chokers/Collar Necklaces. Chokers are such pieces of jewelry which can elevate your look instantly and gives you a sharp edgy look.
I made some Choker necklaces with natural semiprecious stones with solid colors, pearls and crystals and will be posting one by one through this week.

Let’s start with the Choker I made with crystals and glass pearls. Added some silver beads in between. The primary color of the choker is white so it can be paired up with any attire from your wardrobe. But personally I feel it goes best with black or any solid colors.

Another statement necklace from Maa Dugga series...

This time it’s the pairing of Dokra and Jade beads. I have used natural white Jade beads here along with some red crystals and lots of gold beads and brass beads. The centerpiece is a Dokra depicting the divine face of Maa Durga with her natural aura.

Today’s post is a continuation of our Maa Dugga collection...here we have a different avatar of Maa Durga in a typical dancing posture. The way in which this Dokra pendant has been carved is truly artistic. Totally in love with this one!

A special centerpiece demands exclusive necklace design around it so I took out my gorgeous African beads which sit perfectly with the natural black Onyx beads. Made a typical pattern with those and attached a bright tassel to adjust the length of the necklace.

Would recommend to wear it with a light shaded Jamdani or cotton saree or Tissue benarasi saree for a perfect look.

Today’s post is also about a Dokra necklace set but a very subtle design in Dokra. Whenever we think of Dokra, a heavy gorgeous piece comes to our mind but this time it’s just the reverse.

Look at these cute little birds sitting on a branch and chatting! I have used bunch of suede cords with the pendant and some brass beads. Very simple yet unique!

It took me almost 15 days (which is too long) to think about the design of this necklace because this masterpiece pendant is so special and so beautiful that I didn’t want to underestimate it.

On this note I would like to take a few moments and praise the Dokra artisans of Bengal who have been working relentlessly to create something NEW along with their consistent dokra work. This might be a regular Dokra pendant with Maa Durga design but look at this beautiful hut they made around her and on which they applied a permanent reddish dye so that the whole concept instantly reminds us of our 'Gram Banglar Maatir Bari' (native village mud houses of Bengal) Beautiful creativity and I’m so proud that I could bring it here in front of all of you!

I chose a particular kind of white yarn with irregular patterns and weaved some gold danglers or ghungroos, which actually make that jingle sound, with each strand.

Presenting you a super gorgeous and bold statement neckpiece today...and of course one of my personal favorites

It’s made of natural Howlite stones. Howlite stones are in extensive use for jewelries since centuries. And recently it’s become a favorite for its healing properties as well. Howlite stones are porous in nature so it’s very easy to dye it and give any shape and that’s why it’s popular in the world of jewelry.

I have chosen purple Howlite slab beads (huge size), some silver and some crystals for this necklace. No pendants are used as the style of the beads itself are enough to complete your look. I love purple and I love the raw uncut natural look of the stones so this piece has become my latest obsession ☺️ will make some more definitely!

Another Maa Dugga collection...

Something organic, something pure, something Bangla and something close to our hearts...This piece of jewelry reminds me of all these feelings together.

Don’t think I need to describe the beauty and boldness of this piece as it speaks for itself.

The highlight of this necklace is the pendant which has a tribal look and it’s the most unique design I ever worked with. Just love these kind of experiments where one goes beyond the common notions about a jewelry and create something NEW

The pendant is a Zamak metal (German) which is lightweight, very sturdy and doesn’t tarnish easily. The beads I have used here are ceramics which have a texture on their surface and the bright color is balanced perfectly by the antique silver in the center.

In this pendant you will see a modern take on the face of Durga which I found very innovative. The necklace around the pendant is made of Dokra beads and natural Lapis Lazuli stones. Wear it with a saree or any traditional outfit. In fact this design looks good with modern outfits as well.

I have used all of my shell beads for this one. These are natural shells finished with a permanent dazzling coating on the surface. The primary colors are shades of gold and green but they have many more shade spots like magenta, purple and blue.

For the love of Turquoise!

When nothing goes right get some turquoise! ☺️ Fun apart if you think of this color you would notice that it is a color for everyday wear. Be it jeans or formal outfits turquoise never fails you and it looks perfect with any outfit without any effort.

Here I have taken quite a handful of natural turquoise stone chips and added copper materials to it like real copper beads, copper chains and at the back there’s a beautiful designer copper clasp. Copper chains definitely give a twist to the regular design and looks fuller.

A multi-stranded neckpiece made of lots and lots of polished glass beads and Dokra beads. Again this is another one where the pictures are not doing justice to the real piece.

The shade of these green beads are too rare and not easy to name the exact shade but it’s closest to the olive green. I have put some gold beads in between to accentuate the green. The upper part is Dokra, my another favorite in the world of jewelry as it gives me ample ways to play with! 😁

Starting the week with a gemstone which is known as 'supreme nurturer' ☺️

Jasper stone is believed to give you full support when you’re under stress. But I like this stone more because of it’s appearance apart from it’s healing properties! Jasper is an opaque quartz variety which is formed from sedimentary rocks and hence this spotted surface.

Here I have used dark reddish pink jasper stones along with silver coated lava rocks. The silver pendant is a quite unusual patterned one which I felt would go great with the speckled look of the stones 😍 The length of the necklace is adjustable and can be worn in two different ways (refer to the pictures )

One of my personal favorites!...I have always been a person who loves bright and bold colors but recently been a fan of black and white!! Am I aging???!!! 😏

So here’s a result of my latest preferences and I'm sure there would be more...

This statement necklace is not only a simple jewelry but can act as a great healer for you if you want to unload any long carried wound from your heart. The semiprecious natural stone Jade has this property of healing deeply (black Jade) and I have used the same here.

I have put a lot of black Jade in these strings along with lots of real copper beads in between. To make the black look more beautiful a handful of silver coated lava beads have been used here which give a more natural look because of their innate asymmetry. Pictures cannot justify the beauty of the these stones but once you hold it in your hand you’ll feel the richness.

Bright colors always brighten up my mood...Presenting you a statement neckpiece in brilliant yellow beads and silver

Honestly, these yellow beads have been sitting on my table for quite a long time as I was not so sure what to make of it!! The color is so bright and many people don’t like such hues. But finally I made something out of it and so happy with the outcome ☺️

This triple stranded necklace is made of bright yellow textured ceramic beads along with some fine polished metal beads in between. Highlight of this piece is the side pendant which has three large silver metal balls strung together.

Lots of natural Amethyst chips have been used here for the strands of the necklace and the centerpiece is a lovely silver rendition of a maple leaf 🍁
