And even though this law may be enacted in California, it will not just affect California businesses. Any business in the United States can be sued by someone in California who uses their website. And, trust me, vulture attorneys will see those websites as a gold mine and will be lining up their fake plaintiffs as fast as they can to cash in.
Those in opposition were only given 5 minutes total to state their reasons why before the committee, and as a result, the committee will likely vote in ignorance. At least give them another reason to say no by signing the petition and sending emails on behalf of small businesses all across the U.S.
