In their second year, the Winx Club battles the ultra powerful Lord Darkar, who has joined forces with the witches.

In the third year, Icy, Darcy, and Stormy (after having been defeated for a second time) are banished to the Omega Dimension -- a desolate frozen prison for the worst criminals in the magical dimension. There, they meet up with Baltor, a sorcerer with amazing powers and a personal grudge against Bloom.

Together, the fearsome four escape and begin to take over the realms, one by one, starting with Layla's home planet of Tides! In order to have any hope of stopping the ultra-powerful Baltor each Winx Club girl must achieve her Enchantix, an advanced stage in the development of fairy power.

Only with the power of six Enchantix fairies fighting together will the girls have any chance of stopping Baltor and saving the universe.

Having discovered she has magical fairy powers, Bloom travels from Earth to the Alfea School for Fairies to learn how to perfect her magic skills. There she becomes best friends with Stella, Flora, Musa, Layla, and Tecna, five teenage fairies from five different realms.
