This tragic story is an example of why we desperately need to do better with allergen concerns in restaurants. Many times allergens are life or death situations and many European countries are doing much better at making sure that customers with severe allergies are easily accommodated. A simple separate dish for allergen accommodating meals or a toothpick to distinguish the difference could have saved this woman life. We can do better!
