Fuyus for You! Fall persimmon harvests have begun! One of the most well-known persimmon varieties is fuyu. Their shape is squat and round, like a pumpkin. They are sweet and crunchy, like an apple.

This variety is ripe when firm with a little give.

Fuyus are very versatile and can be prepared in various ways:
🔸Slice and enjoy as a snack like apples
🔸Add to fall salad with arugula, pomegranate, toasted nuts, and soft cheese
🔸Add as a seasonal ingredient in baked goods, jams, and desserts
🔸Slice and dehydrate to make dried fruit for preserving the harvest. Perfect for adding to packed lunches or a healthy snack
