On July 8th, the Kelsey Family lost a dear close friend of over 25 years. Jen Lagos was not only a devoted friend to Richard and Laurie Kelsey, she was a second “Momma” to Deanna, Tessa and Jessica Kelsey , along with countless other Creston kids . Jen was a Cal Poly graduate and taught for years the special education preschool children in Atascadero and Paso Robles school districts, until her unexpected passing 2 weeks ago. She had a heart of gold and her “ kids” loved her wholeheartedly. It takes a special person to take joy in helping those who needed it the most. Jen was that person. To honor her memory , friends have established a “ Go Fund Me” in her name, and at Kelsey Winery we are sharing that info, and asking you to share as well . She always worried about her kids not having enough shade, or backpacks, or writing supplies , and she always helped when and where she could . This fundraiser will continue to keep Jen’s life long devotion to those children alive , and maybe in the process , change another child’s life .
Rest in Peace Jen, we got this ❤️ www.GoFundMe.com/f/jens-joy

Collecting those stag(g) trophy antlers. Was going to hunt for a Dalmore Scotch, but not spending $80 for a photo op. Cheers! 🥃 🍷
Picked up the perfect bottle from before watching Kurt Russell’s Bone Tomahawk. Brutal movie, so you may want to grab yourself a few bottles if you ever decide to watch it! Underrated movie and great wine from Russell’s in .
Grilling to start the weekend and a sipping some pinot noir from Monterey County. I have to admit the “Sleepy Hollow Vineyard” caught my attention with this bottle, but Talbott is making amazing wines. Can’t wait to check out their Carmel tasting room.

The Margerum M5 is a nice go-to “foodie” wine. It’s peppery and jammy with a hint of plum and cocoa, it pops in your mouth like there is a hint of carbonation. (but not literally) It went perfectly with this “thrown together” lemon garlic pasta with truffle noodles. Then we threw some beef tips from on top because my son was craving it, but it worked out very well and this wine was a perfect companion. Cheers! 🍷

To all the wine bloggers, influencers, and drinkers! Let’s help out our fellow wine blogger Amber get her account “” reinstated. We post a lot of wine folks on here, and we’ve followed Amber since we started this page. On her recent trip to Paris her account was mysteriously shut down on IG. Despite going through all of the steps, over a month later and it’s still shut down. (all that potential content down the drain!) C'est la vie but I’m sure all wine people on here can imagine the horror.
If you can tag and in the comments using the hashtag it would be much appreciated. Cheers!! 🥂
