October 1-7 is World Mental Health Week! Did you know that Growing Grounds employs those with severe and persistent mental illness? Our clients receive on-the-job vocational coaching to build their skills. Plant therapy is essential for recovery!

Friday is delivery day, plants are on the truck and going out to our retail customers. This Mangave ‘Crazy Cowlick’ looks great next to the contrasting chartreuse leaves of Teucrium chamaedrys ‘Summer Sunshine’.
This climbing rose is in its full glory and smells divine. Planted in 1989 this beauty is probably the old fashion cultivar ‘Cecile Brunner’ Have a wonderful weekend everyone 🌸🌸🌸
Sacred Sage or White Sage, Salvia apiana is a wonderful California native to include in any central coast landscape. Practically no water once established and repels negative energy. What more can you want?! Not to mention their ghostly white foliage looks magical and illuminated in a garden at night, bathed in moonlight.
Ceanothus ‘Frosty Blue’ This California Lilac is a perfect addition to any central coast water wise garden. It’s gets 6-8’ H x 4-6’ W, so a perfect colorful screen or hedge. Native pollinators love it! No summer irrigation required, actually preferred!
Carex oshimensis ‘Evergold’ - A wonderful variegated sedge that provides excellent contrast for a shady area. Pairs well with deep purple or red Heuchera cultivars. Shade can be difficult to grow in but these beauties rise to the challenge!
Mentha suaveolens ‘Variegata’ also known as Pineapple Mint. Not only does it have a wonderful tropical minty aroma it’s also very decorative and provides nice contrast in the garden!
