A year’s worth of circle questions. Thank you to my students for being brave, vulnerable, and delightfully weird. What happens in the circle, stays in the circle.
We want to hear from you! Have you been involved in our classes or our productions as a student, parent, or audience member? If so, we want to hear about your experience! If not, what’s stopping you?!
What an amazing night! Thank you, , for this incredible opportunity to build community with some of the most talented, welcoming, and supportive theatre makers this side of Santa Barbara.
My beloved students,
I’m incredibly proud of you for pushing past some massive anxiety and delivering a kick ass performance tonight. You all killed it out there. We may not have taken home a trophy but I am content knowing I get to see all your shining faces back at school this week because YOU are the reason I lose my voice screaming in support of the youth theatre community, stay up past 11 on a school night, and still manage to be excited about waking up tomorrow to do it all over again. Get some sleep - you deserve it!
Love - Ms. Wozniak
To the rest of you - that’s an official wrap on the 2023-2024 season…now on to MINIS! See you at Waitress tomorrow and Zombie Prom and Ride the Cyclone on Wednesday.
Leave your mark on our beloved PAC with these custom seat plaques! It’s a beautiful way to honor the current or past Bearcat in your life. Check out our website for more details - or use this link to place your order:

Here are the rest of our winners! But after that season announcement, aren’t we all winners?
We are still recovering from a truly epic awards night! Here are some of the folks who went home with a coveted trophy (and yes the shoe counts as a trophy).
Join us for our annual MINI-MUSICALS next week in the PAC. Our musical theatre students have been diligently working on their spring productions all semester so come see what they’ve been up to! This is a FREE event and all are welcome.
Come see our amazing seniors announce our next season, this Sunday in the PAC. Pre-show shenanigans start at 5:00. The show kicks off with a performance by at 6:00pm. Don’t miss this last chance to see many of these Bearcats perform on our stage!
Happy Birthday, Will. Thanks for the laughs.
We are thrilled to announce that our production of The Wedding Singer has been nominated for the 2024 Rita Moreno Award for Best Musical! Join us at the awards ceremony on Monday, May 13th in San Jose. Use the link in our bio to reserve your tickets!
Look at the beautiful tree we built for Twelfth Night! Isn’t it lovely? Do you want it??
It’s about 13 feet tall and 8 feet wide and too large for us to store. It’s free if you can come pick it up from San Mateo High School this Saturday evening during our strike. If you can’t take it, feel free to pass this along, please. We want Trevor the Tree to go to a good home!
Haha! Got a pic of most of them looking towards the camera! So much love to this incredible group of humans who designed, managed, and ran a beautiful opening night.
You have three more opportunities to see this show. Come support the cast and CREW of Twelfth Night this weekend. Tickets can be reserved using the link in our bio.
Here are your Spark Notes for our production of William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night!
Happy Opening!
While I was denied a selfie, I continue to sneak shots of my beloved crew when I can.
Photo 1: The humble deck crew captured in the middle of a scene change that they complete so quickly, I never get to hear my favorite part of the transition song.
Photo 2: Our fearless captain calling cues like a boss.
Photo 3: Lighting designer AND human gobo- he does it all.
Come see Twelfth Night. Our crew is amazing and they never get the credit they truly deserve. Ticket link in bio.
This is very midsummer madness!
End of tech weekend cast selfie! What are the odds that the crew will let me take a crew selfie tomorrow?
Shakespeare is awesome!
He’s also super dead. And that means we can take his amazing text and adapt it to suit our own modern sensibilities. Because there is nothing he can do about it! So welcome to Camp Illyria, a summer camp experience like no other.
Will Viola be able to maintain her secret identity despite her growing feelings for Orsino? Will Olivia be wooed by Orsino’s words or by the new counselor delivering them? Will Malvolio succeed in his attempts to reform Tobi from a path of drunken debauchery or will the rest of the camp staff finally give him a taste of his own medicine? And will Viola and Sebastian ever be reunited?! All these questions will be answered, in roughly that order, in San Mateo High School’s production of William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night: Or What You Will.

Day 1 of tech is complete!
