❣️ Taphane primary school
These smiles say it all! The pure joy of connecting with students and learning from each other during our trip.
❣️ Sisters of Charity, Luang Prabang Deaf & Mute Community
It was an honor to have lunch with Sisters of Charity, Deaf & Mute Community in Luang Prabang. It was truly moving to meet these incredible women and their bright students.
At the school, students learn trade skills and create beautiful souvenirs made with love. To support the school and the students' vocational training, please visit their gift/coffee shop in Luang Prabang. They will be more than happy to show you their school’s garden, farm and pond! 🌾🐸
Overcoming mountains, both literal and metaphorical, to bring the gift of education. Donating school supplies to 155 students from two schools in a remote village in Attapeu, Laos was an adventure itself. A blown-out radiator and leaving a driver behind couldn't deter our mission. We made it up the steep and curvy mountain intact, united in our commitment to making a difference. 🚛🏞️ 📚🌍
"Meet our compassionate six-foot-one volunteer from Colombia, who adores children and their smiles. With a heart as big as his height, he walked out of the center on a mission to bring sweet treats and joy to their day. 🌟 "
Embracing empathy and connection at the Blind Center in Vientiane. Delighted to bring smiles by serving the students their most cherished dishes, spreading warmth and kindness one meal at a time. 💚🌟
With open hearts and backpacks filled with school essentials, we embarked on an exciting journey to a remote school in Attapeu Province, accompanied by a gracious ambassador from the Department of Education.
We were deeply touched by the dedication of these students, who tirelessly pursue their education despite the challenges they face. The school's warm welcome and engaging games filled our hearts with joy. We are incredibly proud of these students and the community that supports them. Kop jai la lai 🙏❣️
Spreading kindness in Pakse! 🌟 We donated hygiene kits to the blind centers, bringing smiles and essential care to those who need it most.
Baan Paktapanh Village is a lowland Lao village along the Mekong river that inspired the founding of the Jai Lao Foundation. In July 2010, Jai Lao completed the building of Baan Paktapanh's large one room preschool, complete with two bathrooms, to compliment their existing elementary and middle schools. This visit we were able to provide the students with school supplies and ingredients for their school kitchen. A big THANK YOU to the following donors; The Dream Team of Acadiana, Heather Nguyen, Hatzidakis/Pina family.
It’s the smiles for US! ♥️🙏🏼
Hello, Lela here (JLF’s VP)! I am a graduate student embarking on a research study about the Southeast Asian American experience in higher education. My work with Jai Lao Foundation is empowered by my passion for increasing access to education for my community.
‼️ I am seeking individuals who identify as SEAA to participate in the research through a SURVEY 📋 or INTERVIEW 🗣️. Please see the flyers for eligibility information and links to participate! ‼️
The study I am conducting aims to better understand the unique challenges that SEAA individuals face in higher education. I intend to gain insights into the current levels of accessibility and support available to SEAA students within higher education systems, with the ultimate goal of identifying strategies to enhance SEAA student success.
If you do not meet eligibility requirements, please share! Your support in forwarding this email to any SEAA students or community members you may know would be immensely helpful in reaching potential participants who can contribute to the collective knowledge of SEAA student success, an area that remains underrepresented in current research.
We are excited to embark on our annual mission trip visiting three primary schools and three blind/mute centers with the aim at providing school supplies and everyday essentials.
Our mission trip is scheduled for November We believe that every little bit helps, and your support can make a significant difference in the lives of those we aim to help.
Your generous donation will go directly towards the students. No contribution is too small, and we appreciate any amount you can give. Your donation not only supports our mission but also helps create a positive impact on the lives of students

I am so proud to be Lao and walk in the footsteps of my grandparents who paved the way for my family to have a wonderful life in the US. I am grateful for how they instilled the value of Lao culture, food, and community in their children, who have passed it down to me. ~Lela
Sabaidee Jai Lao Supporters 💕 We hope you all had a fun and festive Lao, Thai and Khmer New Year month long celebration! Our Jai Lao team kicked off the new year and fundraising efforts at the Lao New Year in Louisiana. We had a wonderful time connecting with young adults and parents as we shared with them about our scholarship program awarding $25,000 this year to college students of Laos descent which includes lowland Laotians, Hmong, Mien, Khmu, Lue, Tai Dum, and other ethnic groups. While we didn't raise a lot of funds (so many other papaya salad vendors) we sure had plenty of fun being a part of the friendly and kind Lao community of Louisiana and many other states. We achieved our greatest goal in raising awareness about Jai Lao's cause and to let people know we are here to serve and help our community at large. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth to show your support and love. If you want to support Jai Lao's next fundraiser it will be May 8 at Ramen vs Pho in Fresno, California. Come eat yummy food for a good cause.
