Jam season begins! The rain has been very helpful, only about 5 % of the berries are ripe.
Didn’t check for eggs yesterday. I should have grabbed the basket because yes I did drop one.
First small batch turned out pretty good
First attempt at mulberry jam, wish me luck. Ayden did not want to stop picking them.
Strawberries are producing good this year
Strawberries are ripening up nicely
Take care of mother nature and she will take care of you. All bees died off over the winter, but without having to buy a Nuc a swarm moved into one of the empty hives. They are doing fantastic and are really healthy!
First boil of the season went well
Boiling days today
Syrup season is in and threes are flowing
I’d say the fall flow is in session
We are extremely happy and grateful today. We did an inspection today and all but one hive survived!! The rest of the hives are strong, happy and healthy.

It’s been about 3 years since we brought bees on the property and let the back acre grow up. It’s crazy how fast the native wildlife come back. And I hate to see summer go but it sure is pretty when all the goldenrod blooms.
