ANCA welcomes strong Robert F. Kennedy, Jr stand: "I want to commit this country to the restoration of the sovereignty of #Armenia and #Artsakh, and to the restoration of its territory. Instead of starting another war somewhere, want to stop one, stated the U.S. presidential candidate in a 2.5 minute video issued earlier today, titled "FK Jr. On How to Avert War in Armenia." "Empty condemnations of this ethnic cleansing campaign are not enough. Unlike the 1915 genocide, this one is reversible," stressed FK, Jr., who went on to note: "The U.S. government needs to organize and mobilize the global community to take action to ensure the safe return of Armenians to Artsakh and to defend their right to self-determination. This is a situation where peaceful sanctions could actually work. The U.S. still has leverage in that region and it can use that power to mobilize all of the nations in that region to reverse this humanitarian tragedy. We should also seek the removal of the blockades in Armenia by Turkey and Azerbaijan. Armenia is a landlocked nation and it needs access to ports and to the surrounding countries."
The moral and legal imperative to call the Artsakh genocide for what it is: Genocide. #ArtsakhGenocide #ArmenianGenocide2023
Key quotes: -- "Please do not forget your true Christian brothers and sisters in Armenia that are being attacked and forcibly removed from their homelands right now" -- "To say [Armenia] is part of Azerbaijan goes against history, goes against archaeology, it goes against everything." -- "Today, another Genocide is happening, and our focus is on Hamas and Gaza, we need to focus on our Christian brothers and sisters in Armenia." -- "We can't let Azerbaijan get away with this, we can't let Turkey get away with this again. These things cannot happen on our watch, we need to stand with Armenia and stand very strong." -- "Write to your Senator, write to your Congressman, write to the White House - lets mobilize support to say: "No, not on our watch, you don't get to wipe #Armenia off the map." - @cbngordon on @the700club

"The Azerbaijani government has made it clear their goal is to erase the historic presence of Armenians in this region... If we continue to let this crisis devolve, then we are complicit in the violence." - @sengarypeters
