@1an_8urnett hitting a 500LB Hexbar Deadlift PR! 👏🏻 Hexbar has been a staple lift for Ian which means that it’s consistently programmed, however we rotate different intensities/volume, ranges of motion, while also programming accessory movements in areas he’s less strong in. Coach Nate working on strength with a banded Safety Bar Box Squat. With our advanced Athlete population we program using the Conjugate Method. In this video Nate is in a Max Effort Lower Day, instead of rotating movements weekly like a traditional Westside Conjugate Sequence sometimes we run three week waves. Week one you work up to a 3 rep max using accommodating (bands/ chains) Week two you work up to a 2 rep max with slightly less accommodating resistance and more weight on the bar. Week three is a one rep max with no accommodating resistance. If you’re interested in training with this method send us a DM!
