On Friday, Dec. 15, the most recent cohort of nursing graduates formally completed the program with a “pinning” ceremony, earning themselves an Associate Degree in Science in Nursing (ADN). The graduates have the distinction of completing the program having gone through real-life experiences of the Covid-19 pandemic in the medical field. Congratulations, nurses!

Returning to Campus in 2021
As we welcome students back to campus, SBCC remains committed to the health and safety of our students, staff and faculty. As such, we have implemented certain protocols to ensure a safe and healthy campus community. On August 5, 2021, the SBCC Board of Trustees approved a resolution that requires students, employees and visitors to be vaccinated for Covid-19 by October 1, 2021. All students, employees, and members of the public should have their second shot of Pfizer or Moderna - or their first shot of Johnson & Johnson - vaccine by September 17, 2021 in order to be “fully vaccinated” as defined by the CDC by October 1, 2021. Please note the following: - Before entering a facility on campus, you will need to show that you have completed the Healthy Roster Survey and be cleared at a check-in table on campus. Once you have done this, you will receive a wristband and be cleared for entry. - If you don't have access to a smartphone, you may complete a paper Healthy Roster Survey at a check-in table. -Visitors who wish to enter a facility on-campus also need to fill out a Healthy Roster Survey and be cleared for entry. We ask that you be respectful of each other and follow SBCC’s health and safety guidelines so that we can maintain a safe learning environment for all.
