“Aurora Portal” 2024
When the northern lights come to SoCal 😆 - Can you believe the KP index was so strong the other night that the Aurora was visible in San Diego? Check out the images captured by my buddies and . Unfortunately I missed the opportunity to get outside and see them that night, but it did inspire me to make this experimental composite of two photos I’d taken in the past ✨🔮
Happy Earth Day friends 🌎
I hope you get outside today! I enjoyed picking out some of my favorite shots I’ve taken of our planet during the tiny blip of time that I’ve lived on it. Is it even possible to pick a favorite?? Also I never knew a carousel could go up to 20 shots now, that’s wild 🤯
Partial Solar Eclipse 4/8/2024 11:11am PST 🌙
Captured from San Diego California in my own backyard with a 600mm lens! I had flights to be in Dallas for totality today, but I ended up cancelling them last week because I saw heavy clouds in the forecast. Unfortunately for me, but fortunately for Texans, it ended up being a clear view of the sky from there! Oh well, it was still fascinating to watch from home. One of these years I’ll get to experience a total solar eclipse 🙌🏼
“Wat Arun 4D” 2024 🕌
This beautiful historic Buddhist temple looks straight out of a Sci-fi movie! I enjoyed making this day to night blend from a Timelapse shot across the river my last day in Bangkok, Thailand 🇹🇭
Krabi Ao Nang & Railay Beach 🇹🇭
Which view do you like best?? 🤩
HK photo dump - which is your favorite view? My first time ever in Asia, and Hong Kong was my first stop! I only had two short days in this city, and I really wish I could have stayed longer. Although the weather was pretty much overcast the whole time, I could tell how epic this place is to capture & explore. I’ll definitely be coming back to fully do it justice!! Can you guess what country I’m off to next?? Hint: it’ll be a bit warmer 😉
Sharing more client work in 2024 📷 - I often hold back from posting my architectural photography, so let’s change that! This set of images was recently commissioned by of the Carpinteria Sanitary District HQ Building. The epic surroundings make it look like this building was plopped right in a jungle, even though it’s in downtown Carp just blocks from the ocean! It was only a one day shoot, and we had some amazing light. The full set can be seen on my website. Did you spot me somewhere in the photos??
A compressed perspective of a plane coming in for landing above the city of Irvine in front of snow capped mountains. ✈️ That’s the Tustin Blimp Hangar catching the sunset light reflection in the foreground. What airline is it?
Cover Shot! ✅🙌🏼
I never got around to sharing this, but I’m proud of this accomplishment from earlier this year. My image of the Salk Institute was chosen as the cover shot for Visit San Diego’s Fiscal Year 2022 Annual Report magazine.
This image had already seen some success, making this is the third accolade for it. Last year it was a top ten finalist in One Photo Challenge, and in 2021 it was long listed in the Architecture Photography Awards.
Golden Hour at Torrey Pines Golf Course ⛳️
Caught this stunner sunset last night while shooting in La Jolla. I’m obsessed with the 70mm lens on the Mavic 3 Pro, which enables me to stitch super high res panoramic photos like this one at 130 MP.
Northeast Autumn Vibes 🍂
A few snaps around Albany and Boston the past week while home for a wedding, family, and work! Which is your favorite view? Any you recognize? 📸
New images crafted for luxury high-rise apartments. This building was a beauty to capture! It’s also an interesting location set on the border of Century City and Beverly Hills, and right next to the golf course. A very convenient place to live for many Hollywood celebs!
Which view is your favorite?
To compress the LA Skyline in the background, the first image was shot as a stitched panorama with the 162mm lens on the Mavic 3 Pro. At twilight my exposures had to drag out to almost half a second, which is amazing that it kept stable enough at that long focal length. Not bad, eh? It’s a surprisingly powerful tool to have on a drone!

Ok I lied… I made one more image from this shoot. This edit uses a layer stacking technique to show the path of the moon rising and the path of a landing plane simultaneously. It’s like a custom combination of all the best moments captured by my static timelapse camera.
8/30/23
My last photo dump of planes and moons ✈️+🌚… all captured the same evening from Liberty Station on 8/30/23 - Which one do you think is most interesting?
The only thing I didn’t capture was the fish leaping 3+ feet out of the water next to me all night. How sick would that be to capture one aligned in front of the supermoon?? 🤣🐟🎣
The rising behind jet planes taking off at the
I’ve been planning & scouting a location where I could capture this lunar alignment. There are always some things you can’t plan though. I noticed the two perched seagulls off to the side - so at the last second I repositioned my tripod to include them in the composition. Which one of these shots do you prefer? The first image is a composite of multiple layers in order to get everything in proper focus. The second image is a single exposure straight out of camera, where we see a plane taking off and another coming in for landing at the same time.
Who wants to see the Timelapse version of this shot?? It’s pretty cool, I’ll post it later today 😉

It’s always a pleasure to work with 📷
I’m headed up to Santa Barbara tomorrow to photograph three of their new projects this week. Not only do they design incredible buildings, but they also have a great eye so we collaborate well to capture them. I’ll try to share some BTS along the way!
Unreal Florida sunsets this past week 🤯🌅 Almost every night of this vacation I was treated with one banger sunset after the next. I kept ditching all my family dinners because I couldn’t resist going out to shoot! 😆 I love Cali, but dang the consistency here is unmatched! Which image is your favorite??
“Lightning Collectors” 2023 ⚡️
Believe it or not, I didn’t pull a single slider in Lightroom to edit this image. The exposures were nearly perfect out of camera. All I did was combine about 5 frames together in Photoshop using simple masks and blending modes. The silhouette figures are my brother and his son collecting shells. We’ve been coming to Marco Island annually for a family vacation since before we were that young. It’s cool to pass along this experience to the next generation. I’m loving this unique Florida weather! Which crop do you like best??
“North South Lake Sunrise” 2023
North-South Lake is the biggest and most popular state campground in the Catskill Forest Preserve, offering extraordinary scenic beauty and historical sites such as Alligator Rock, Kaaterskill Falls, and the former site of the Catskill Mountain House. These views have been enjoyed by US presidents, writers, and famous painters like Thomas Cole. This particular morning last week had insanely beautiful light and clouds filling the Hudson valley.
I’m heading off to Chicago this weekend for a last minute shoot to cover an event for 🎥 - Always love coming back to this beautiful city! It’s actually the second time I’ve been sent here for a job 🤙🏼 Which view is your fav??
Hey friends! Tomorrow night I have a solo show opening at in San Marcos. I made some beautiful new acrylic prints to display for the first time, along with some other framed pieces. I’ll be hanging out there from around 6-10pm Friday. Stop by if you’d like to see the work, come say hi, & have a drink! With live DJ and food it should be a great vibe! 🤙🏼
TEN YEARS since graduating college 💙🧡
I graduated from ten years ago today, and couldn't be happier with my experience. The major I chose was Visual Arts, which was intentionally vague so I could take a range of classes that peaked my interest. Through this process I discovered my deepest passions and specialties. It was a perfect foundation of knowledge for me to start a creative business, and provide value through my artwork. The variety of work I created in my three years at school is pretty wild to look back on:
1. My cluttered apartment bedroom / studio
2. Digital photography made around New Paltz
3. Exploring panoramic and time blended images
4. Hotel design I made in a 3D modeling class
5. Wood carving made in a printmaking class
6. Graphic design and logo designs I made
7. Films made for class, fun, and the school paper
8. Custom coding my first website design (class)
9. Behind the scenes!
10. Single color wood carving self portrait
To this day I’m still obsessed with creating, and it doesn’t really matter what form that takes. I still love to surround myself with my artwork, but at least now I can see some walls in my office 😝 – It’s also weird to think that all this happened before I even made an Instagram page 😆
“Imbalance” 2013 🌎
Happy Earth Day friends! I was inspired to create this image ten years ago for earth day, and it remains one of my favorite pieces of my career. It’s a conceptual composite of many different locations, including Niagara Falls and NYC. Get outside today, enjoy nature, and let’s always remember to preserve and take care of our home together 💙💚
🏆 Of the awards & recognition I’ve received, this one could be the most significant to me. I know how many unbelievably talented photographers are part of this community, and who are equally deserving of recognition. To be a finalist for the Early career & emerging talent award is extremely humbling, especially as the only photographer on the list based in the USA! 🤯
Even though it’s been less than 5 years shooting architecture professionally, it feels like I’ve had a lifetime of growth & learning. This news gave me such an incredible boost of energy to continue working hard, advancing my career, and truly live up to this accolade 🙌🏼💙🙌🏼
Big appreciation to the judges:
Also, maybe this is a sign to actually start posting more of my client work & architectural photography on this account 🤣 what do you think?
A compressed view of the Coronado Bridge behind Hotel Del. How do you think I got this high-res photo??
Edited Vs Raw… ✍️💻📷 I’ll be dropping the BTS reel video of this Lightroom edit tomorrow!
“Light in the Canyon” 2022
A beautiful moment of light and shadow during a shoot with .films, & for the architect in Arizona. The entry to this public library was designed to emulate the unique experience of walking into a slot canyon, which are common in northern Arizona. The massive corten steel walls create an inwardly focused experience as you enter, with nothing else visible but the blue sky above.
I plan to submit this image to some architectural photography awards this year… do you think it’s what most judges are looking for?

Frozen bean anyone?
Check out how incredible this ice looks in Monroe Harbor of Chicago. I love the patterns and textures it makes as a foreground to the city. Just wish it wasn’t below freezing to see it!
