Galapagos Reptile Gear
Only the extraordinary survive! The Galapagos islands are a volcanic achipelago near the Pacific equator where animals rule the world!
A natural sanctuary for some of the most extraordinarily exotic and diverse animal species on the planet. Galapagos harbors its many colorful creatures who have quickly adapted to their distinct habitats. Give your animals their own sanctuary and make them feel at home! We take special care in working with the finest materials. We spend extra time sieving, washing, and, cleaning our products so th
Caught little Egg napping in his favorite spot. MossVine is flexible and can be bent to make many “hammock” spots in the habitat, providing resting places and canopy access.
The only suitable throne for the majesty that is a pixie bullfrog is of course, a big lush chunk of royal pillow moss 👑
The fact that something this electric blue exists in nature on its own accord is absolutely astounding! Blue is not a common color for flora or fauna and in this instance, serves as a warning to predators that they’re a risky menu option.
These “el cope” locale d. auratus are harmless in captivity however, without their naturally occurring diet they are unable to produce the toxins that make them formidable in the wild.
✨New addition!✨
We have a couple new baby crested geckos here that we are really excited to share with you! This little Tri color harlequin really needs a name, we are stumped!
Some really exquisite moss features spotted at the reptile expo a couple weeks ago, nothing beats a liberal moss application in a vivarium build!
Magnolia leaf for scale 🤏🏻 Check out these incredibly tiny toads! Oak toads are diminutive even full grown, generally staying around 1.5-1.75” inches. They have all the fun inquisitive characteristics of larger toad species and are quite daytime active in an appropriate enclosure, making them an excellent display species.
SNEAK PEEK: there’s a new guy in town…
The endearing and elusive red eye crocodile skink thrives in densely planted and accessorized habitats. They tend to be on the shyer side and really display the most natural behaviors in a habitat with many hides, leaf litter, branches and plants. Our big lush pillows of Royal Pillow Moss work great in crocodile skink vivariums for providing that crucial security, as well as maintaining their ambient humidity.
Do you keep or dream of keeping this species? They are really rewarding- catching a glimpse of them in their habitat feels almost magical!
These guys got a much needed upgrade! For now, the tank is mostly rock and sinkable driftwood for scaping and basking areas. They seem to really enjoy climbing out onto the natural branches!
Normalize giving “cheap” reptiles exceptional care. Just because a brown anole costs all of 3 dollars doesn’t make them any less worthy of proper husbandry than a $3000 designer snake. Too often they are kept without UBV, heat, proper substrate or climbing places in too-small tanks. Not here!
3 legged Lolly seems to get around just fine as a tripod. She is able to burrow into her soil and sphagnum moss just like any other four legged frog would be able to. Hopefully she grows up to be big and strong 💪🏻 she has a great appetite and plenty of attitude
P**p is on the menu! Isopods are a crucial part of your bioactive setups because they “clean up” f***l matter, dead leaves, and skin sheds by eating them. These little masters of recycling keep the habitat free of pathogens while also helping fix soil nutrients and quality.
Dumpy tree frog, white’s tree frog, Australian green tree frog, whatever name you want to call them one thing that is for sure is they are absolutely adorable frogs. Their charming glass slapping clumsy antics are so funny to watch and they often get really comfortable with their keepers.
Lights out and the reptiles all start to get active 🌙 I love to sit in the reptile room at dusk and watch everyone wake up and start exploring more actively!
Have you gone out looking under any logs lately? Where are you finding reptiles and amphibians in the wild?
Well, like we said, under logs for one. Adding a natural piece of wood to the habitat allows for a moist patch of soil for burrowing and hiding.
We often see critters darting in and out of leaf litter, running up grapevines, and scurrying under logs. Providing these elements in your reptile’s habitat provides security, and often results in seeing your animal MORE! 🍂
Do not disturb 🌙 I’m shedding in here.
I think I found colubrid heaven?
Plastic hide WHO? Certainly not here.
There’s nothing inherently wrong with a plastic hide, and in some instances they may be necessary. But nothing beats the real thing as far as looks and functionality are concerned. Sheds get peeled off on the rough and catchy surface and provide a natural hide to burrow under or hide in the hollow.
Plus, you can’t deny the beauty being brought out in this snake by sitting in a natural setting.
Relaxing to the highest level 😎
This python is able to utilize the canopy space in her vivarium thanks to bamboo perches wrapped in moss vine for maximum comfort…and aesthetic. Because let’s be honest, moss just looks good!
Happy World Turtle Day to turtles and tortoises everywhere. What a privilege it is to share our planet with such incredible beings, and even more so to be able to be their stewards and caretakers. 🐢
Gone are the days of felt reptile carpet. Let there be DIRT! And moss, and rocks, and branches and elements that they would encounter naturally. This makes for an overall enriched and less stressed animal whose natural instincts are being fulfilled.
In it, on it, as a regular hide or as a humid hide- it doesn’t matter! The mossy dome does it all. Covered in 100% real dehydrated moss, it retains moisture when misted for molting or maintaining ambient humidity levels. Clearly it also makes a really pretty spot to bask 🌞
Happy Mother’s Day to all the lizard moms out there! We don’t care what some people think, it definitely counts. You have to feed them and clean up their p**p and then clean it again after they immediately p**p down the clean glass. It’s a special form of motherhood.
Comment below what animal you would keep in here 👀 🐍 🐸
The face of a guy who just got his tank redone with new plants and cork bark
Moss is kind of our whole thing, in case you didn’t notice. Our entire line is made from high quality REAL preserved moss, making it maintenance free and pest free.
Seems like almost everyone got in on the fun today of experiencing the eclipse! Safety first, of course.

Happy April, friends! Hope you all enjoyed your weekend and are braced for a day of April fool’s foolery on social media 🌸🐰
No jokes here, our moss looks just as good with a rabbit on top as it does with a gecko
