Immergo Labs
We are a group of researchers based out of Santa Cruz California exploring the future of physical rehabilitation through immersive virtual worlds.
With virtual reality, we believe physical rehabilitation can be redefined.
This past Monday, the Immergo Labs team had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of 20 stakeholders, including patients and clinicians from across the United States. Alongside our 8 Immergo product team leads, we gathered at the Fogarty Innovation Institute in Mountain View, California, for a full day of exploration in virtual reality.
Together, we experimented with current prototypes and brainstormed the future of the Immergo platform from both patient and clinician perspectives. Being people-first and human-centered is at the core of everything we do at Immergo, and we are so thankful to have worked with this amazing group.
A huge thank you to our dedicated stakeholders for your invaluable feedback, to Fogarty Innovation for supporting Immergo as a company in residence, and to the National Science Foundation (NSF) for the SBIR grant that made the R&D behind Immergo's core technologies possible.

At Immergo Labs we believe that physical therapists should be involved throughout the design process. We want to make sure we are building the platform they are looking for. We asked two of our collaborating therapists to give their thoughts on Immergo and the use of virtual reality. We work with many physical therapists and throughout our campaign we will continue to post their feedback so you all can get an inside view.
===================================
“Immergo has the potential to be a revolutionary tool. Its developers have taken great care in soliciting and incorporating the feedback of doctors of physical therapy into the platform's design from the ground up. This means that this technology has the potential to make the delivery of care more smooth and less burdensome for therapists in settings such as outpatient clinics where customer service is a major organizational value.
I believe that if Immergo continues to execute at this rate, their virtual platform will not only free a segment of the population from having to be physically present in the clinic, it will create that feeling of belongingness and care in a virtual environment. It will also be more congruent with the on-the-go lifestyle of the coming generations. While this may be a stretch for most of the boomer generation, generations that are digital natives will easily adopt this mode of care delivery. One of the major pain points that Immergo has the potential to address is the administrative hurdles of getting referred, scheduling, and attending a PT session.”

Redefining Telehealth for Physical Therapy, stay tuned….
What if you could do physical therapy anywhere, anytime, and with anyone both in reality and in the metaverse? That's exactly what we're building at . Stay tuned for some exciting announcements to be shared later this month!
Have you ever wondered what physical therapy might look like in the ?
Immergo Labs has built an all-in-one virtual reality telehealth platform where therapists can practice remotely, yet still access the critical insights needed to provide quality care. The software enables clinicians to monitor patient avatars in real-time or holograms remotely with a simple VR setup while also measuring strength, balance, and range-of-motion metrics in the process. Using the Immergo platform, anyone will have the ability to implement a hybrid care model, and offer remote visits as an extension of their in-person care, as well as run their own virtual clinics independently, to reach clients anywhere with the metaverse.
