It’s-a me, Mario! Join Stevenson and Oakes College in our special collaborative event–Super Mario Scavenger Hunt! Will you be able to find all the hidden lucky blocks, full of prizes, before it's-a game over?
Hints will be posted live on the Stevenson & Oakes Instagram, Thursday, June 1st at 11 AM. Each lucky block will contain a QR-code, that will be your map and guide, and track all the lucky blocks you find. The more you find, the bigger the prize! First come and first served, while supplies last.
Explore the college campus with friends! The scavenger hunt ends at 3 PM, and the prize pick up station will be from 4-6 PM, at the respective location indicated on the QR-code map.

OAKS 155 Research For Social Justice: Special Topics, Upper Division 5 Units
Examines how social science research informs advocacy and advances social justice issues. Students analyze quantitative and qualitative data and use evidence-based findings to create a final advocacy project. Students will strengthen skills for developing research questions, interpreting qualitative and quantitative data, articulating research findings, and effectively communicating research for advocacy and public outreach. Relevant for students interested in careers in advocacy, policy, and nonprofit work. Enrollment limited to 25. May be repeated for credit. (General Education Code(s): SI.)

Deyci started writing poetry when she was around 13 years old, shortly after finding out that she was undocumented. Words helped Deyci define who she is and who she wants to become in this world that is constantly screaming to define her worth and her power. With poetry, Deyci reclaimed her power and who she is. She is also a small business owner and with her brand hopes to inspire little and big humans to discover and own their magic through poetry, stickers and apparel.
