Let the Birthday Games begin! Went into my birthday weekend perfectly with a closing for some incredible clients from back east about to live in their brand new custom Southwest modern home here in Santa Fe. Decided to go by the grocery store and pick up some tequila to have margaritas this evening and there’s a “tequila truck“ parked out front?! not going to question kismet!

How's your morning commute looking?

It’s entirely typical to pull up to a stop sign and see large groups of folks, otherwise called “the Chase crew”, in the back of pick ups and various other types of vehicles. It’s especially fun watching the cops just look the other way. Lol.

This is one of my favorite parts of living in New Mexico, I bet it would be one of yours too! Is it time to move?

I’ve had the best weekend with my friends as they decompressed from the wildly successful SFWCF 🌶️
Neither had ever been to balloon fiesta, so it was a treat to introduce them and enjoy the first mass ascension with them. One of the highlights of the weekend was when Mary said “do you have any snacks?“ Those of you who know me already know how that turns out. Those of you who don’t know me well just know that I am a former restaurant owner and Italian.

In my opinion the best Grand Tasting yet! Despite the wind, hail and rain 🤣 I had a great time seeing friends, tasting innovative culinary creations from Santa Fe’s restaurants and sharing the day with a friend like Dawn Thomas (who I think is really and undercover sommelier) was the best part. added fun with the 360 photo machine and Octane Buick of Santa Fe provided everyone with a wine holder/necklace making it so much easier to enjoy the event. It was well organized and went on seemingly without a hitch. Great job

The first event of Santa Fe Wine and Chile Fiesta in the books, and it did not disappoint!

Saw so many dear friends, a bonus for attending as many events as possible. The Riedel Performance Glass Tasting was so informative. Regardless of whether you are a connoisseur or new to wine, I guarantee you will learn something, so hopefully they'll bring it back again next year.

One cool thing I wanted to share is on their website you will find a wine glass guide. It makes recommendations on glasses super useful! https://www.riedel.com/en-us/wineglassguide

Rodney Strong Vineyards, with their signature wines from Sonoma, was the perfect selection for this presentation.

The Final Walk Through.... after waiting 30 minutes for the hailstorm to settle down! The walk-through might've looked like this, but the smile on her face at closing made it all well worth it.

I am beyond proud of this woman. I have watched her laser focus to become a home buyer. While it took a few years she did everything we worked on to get here and today she woke up a homeowner! Rome wasn't built in a day, sometimes your first home isn't either.

The first annual RIDE to the RESCUE benefiting HORSESHOE CANYON RESCUE RANCH was incredible! A Fashion Show on Horseback, Hoop Dancing by the Youth World Champion, vendor market shopping, live music, wine and charcuterie, YES PLEASE!

The founders of Horseshoe Canyon Rescue Ranch, Tina and Mike Kleckner, are committed to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of neglected, abandoned and surrendered animals.

DAY 8 UPDATE
Sooooo Lufthansa notified Peter that his luggage was being delivered to the hotel yesterday and Lufthansa notified me that my luggage was being delivered to New Mexico yesterday.
Plot twist… MY luggage was delivered to the hotel with Peter‘s name on it and I just got a text from somebody delivering luggage to my house in the next couple of hours hopefully Peters. If anyone has experience specifically with Lufthansa in getting compensated, please reach out to me. They basically sent an email today. Long story short I put down just a shirt because we weren’t sure with the confusion of them asking me what I had to buy and it actually being peters what they were going to do. This was the final leg of the United flight so I am thinking contact United? when they made us rebook our flights ourselves after they canceled after trying to get through the Lufthansa for eight hours, they told us that I actually had to rebook with United.

But on a wonderful note, we spent the day exploring the town of Cabris, getting familiar with all the incredible benefits that the Cliffside, mountain top Villa will have to offer a very fortunate buyer.

And then…. More retail therapy! Where you ask?
La Croisette, Cannes. The largest concentration of luxury shops per square meter in all of France!

Peter received notification his baggage will arrive at the hotel today. I receive notification. My baggage will arrive in ALBUQUERQUE today?! Keep the high energy and good vibes coming folks. We are so close.

ANOTHER PLOT TWIST BEFORE I EVEN HIT POST!

MY luggage arrived at the hotel with Peter’s name on it. We are assuming that his bag will be arriving in New Mexico sometime this evening. Come on Lufthansa I’m counting on you!

The glory, glitz, and glamour of real estate... Occasionally I visit other luxury agents websites. Most times they are so put together and rather GQ, so to speak. I often wonder to myself, do they ever have days like this? I appreciate that right now I am in France having one of those "glitzy moments", but often times days are a bit more arduous. A few days ago, the challenge was a well and cistern system. The well inspectors and I found ourselves dealing with Pandora's Box. But where there is a will there is a way, and we found ours.

When you're looking to hire a real estate advisor make sure you find one that will go the whole nine yards for you.
