Covid changed so much about how we do research. Video replaced in-person immersions, virtual whiteboards became vital to conducting workshops, and in many cases we went years before meeting some of our clients face-to-face for the first time…fast forward and 2024 has become the year of getting back in the field. Being physically viscerally out there not only allows us to be with consumers, our own ARTYFACT team gets to spend more time prepping, connecting, and building together!

Marilyn assumes the crucial responsibility of managing the financial aspects at Artyfact, diligently overseeing both incoming and outgoing funds. Her meticulous approach ensures that the company's finances are well-maintained and organized.

Outside of her financial duties, Marilyn finds joy and fulfillment in caring for her one-year-old grandson. Her ability to manage and nurture extends to both her professional and personal life, exemplifying her dedication and love in all that she does!

📖 Let's rewind time to 1865, when the Emancipation Proclamation had already been issued by President Abraham Lincoln in 1862. However, it took two and a half years for the news of freedom to reach the enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas. It was on June 19th, 1865, that Union General Gordon Granger arrived in Texas to proclaim freedom for all, marking the birth of Juneteenth. 📜🗽🎉

📚 Juneteenth became an annual celebration, spreading across Texas and beyond, as African Americans embraced their hard-fought liberation from slavery. It became a symbol of resilience, unity, and the determination to overcome oppression. 🤝❤️🌈
