Hi All - this is a grass-roots effort (no pun intended) for Saratoga Springs, NY, and the broader community to push to NOT mow or treat their lawns for all of May to help the pollinators have access to the nutrients they need to pollinate and survive. There is a lot of excellent research showing how this has a positive impact on the broader ecosystem as we go into summer.
We know most of us are not fans of insects in general, but please consider helping our local ecosystem this May by sitting back and not mowing your lawn so that pollinators can reap the benefits!
