A backyard oasis we built from scratch. Selective clearing opens the forest for a sunny pool patio, while mature oaks provide shade for a lush lawn, perfect for outdoor activities. Fill & sitework turns a steep hill into a terraced slope, making room for a huge bluestone patio with a rolling bank, disappearing into the forest. Four steps up a wide bluestone path is a bluestone clad, raised hot tub pad, with peaceful and serine views. A hand placed river rock border flanks the stone, providing contrast and ample drainage for the paved surfaces. Continuous throughout is a clean and simple design with a touch of elegance, tying this modern farmhouse in with its wooded surroundings
