David was thrilled to be a part of the Schaumburg Park District's Gold Medal Award for Excellence in Parks and Recreation Administration and Management in 1988. The award is sponsored in partnership by the American Academy for Park and Recreation Administration (AAPRA) and the National Recreation and Parks Association (NRPA). The Schaumburg Park District has gone on to win the Gold Medal Award two more times in 1995 and 2004.
