As Salām Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakātuhu,
Our community in Schenectady along with our brothers and sisters across the Capital Region are highly encouraged to sign up and attend next weekend’s course conducted by Shaykh Samer Al Nass, one of foremost senior Islamic scholars in the world and someone who’s teachings and efforts have resulted in the direct benefit of Muslims across America, especially here in upstate NY.
This is one of the more unique opportunities where the entire family, elders and youth, can take part and benefit together!
Narrated Ibn 'Abbas (RA): Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) was the most generous of all the people, and he used to reach the peak in generosity in the month of Ramadan when Gabriel met him. Gabriel used to meet him every night of Ramadan to teach him the Qur'an. Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) was the most generous person, even more generous than the strong uncontrollable wind (in readiness and haste to do charitable deeds)
(Sahih al-Bukhari 6, Book 1, Hadith 6)
Be generous with others. With your time, your wealth and your kindness. Everything will come back to you.

May Allah ﷻ bring immediate relief, justice, and peace to our brothers and sisters in Palestine, Sudan, Congo, Yemen, Afghanistan, and everywhere else in the world where oppression, murder, and inhumanity is imposed upon them.

Schenectady City Council Committee Meeting, June 3, 2024 Schenectady City Council Committee Meeting, June 3, 2024
Narrated `Abdullah:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise. And a man keeps on telling the truth until he becomes a truthful person. Falsehood leads to Al-Fajur (i.e. wickedness, evil-doing), and Al-Fajur (wickedness) leads to the (Hell) Fire, and a man may keep on telling lies till he is written before Allah, a liar."
Islam places a very high importance on adherence to the truth and the promotion of truth - as Muslims living in modern times, where truth is often cast aside in favor of curated narratives, it is imperative that we be the staunchest defenders of the truth, especially in the face of those who wish to obscure it.
We continue our call for a Schenectady ceasefire resolution. There are several city council members who have taken the initiative to work with us on the language of such a resolution, dedicated to it being an honest representation of peace and life. After a thorough discussion and careful evaluation of the situation, we have decided in good faith to grant the city council members additional time to continue their efforts to introduce the resolution at committee, which is the procedurally necessary step. As a result, we are not attending the city council meeting scheduled for Tuesday, May 28th, and instead, will allow the council members the space to continue their work.
We appreciate the ongoing efforts of the city council members who are involved and the dedication of the Schenectady residents and look forward to a positive outcome.
