We are grateful for remaining with the National Pan-Hellenic Council Sorority Presidents who represent each of our organizations with strength and dignity no matter the circumstance!

This year, Nu Eta Sigma partnered with Judson Independent School District (ISD) for its annual Block Party. We had a great time serving our community and were able to provide school supplies for over 200 students. Sigma service ... it is our way of life!

Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated remembers Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee.

Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee represented the 18th District of Texas. She provided dedicated service and leadership to this district for more than 30 years.

She will be remembered for her commitment to Black Americans, progressive interests, and serving as one of the sponsors of legislation to establish Juneteenth as a national holiday. Additionally, she played a pivotal part in The George Floyd Law Enforcement Trust and Integrity Act. This act requires every state, local, and federal law enforcement agency to provide data to the Department of Justice on the use of deadly force by and against police officers, along with data on traffic and pedestrian stops.

As a champion of Youth Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee sponsored The Fair Chance for Youth Act which amends the federal criminal code to establish a process for sealing and expunging certain youth criminal records.

Additionally, she sponsored the Effective and Humane Treatment of Youth Act also known as "Kalief's Law. This establishes requirements for the treatment of youth in the criminal justice system at the federal, state, and local level.

We are saddened by her passing and will continue to honor her legacy as a exceptional public servant.

On Sunday, June 23, 2024, the Nu Eta Sigma Chapter Rhoer Club had an end-of-sorority year celebration. The Rhoers fellowshipped with bowling and food. They had a blast.
