REGISTRATION UPDATE

PHASE ONE in the rollout of SCUC ISD’s Skyward Family Access is now available for NEW to SCUC students.

PHASE TWO of the Skyward Family Access for existing students (those who were already enrolled in SCUC ISD this past school year) will open in the coming weeks. Be on the lookout for information soon!

Two members of the Byron P. Steele HS Class of 2022 were recently awarded prestigious scholarships by the United States Department of Defense (DoD). Kailey Rettmann, who was the school salutatorian in 2022, and Caleb Hernandez, who was tenth in the graduating class, received the Science, Mathematics and Research for Transformation (SMART) Scholarship at the Smart Scholarship Orientation held in Crystal City, Virginia on July 16 and 17.

Rettmann and Hernandez will receive full tuition funding, an annual stipend, summer internship opportunities, mentorship, and guaranteed employment upon graduation!

Rettmann is an Oceanography major at Texas A&M University in the accelerated BS/MS program. Hernandez is a Computer Science major at the University of Texas-Dallas.

What a milestone achievement! For the first time in history, Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD (SCUCISD) was named as a District of Distinction by the Texas Art Education Association. This award went to the top 5.5% of school districts in the state. We are so happy to recognize our art teachers and their students!

We would like to remind families of new and continuing students that registration is currently not open as we are still in the process of transitioning to our new student information system, Skyward. We will update you via social media, ParentSquare, and our district/campus websites once Skyward is ready for parents to start the 2024-2025 school year registration process. Our Pre-K classes held an alphabet fashion show for our Panther families this morning at Schertz Elementary. How do you jazz up the alphabet?! From A for Amazing to Z for Zany vests created by the students and presented down the catwalk. Truly adorable event!

🏆 Awards Day 🥇 Our 1st 2nd and 3rd graders participated in our End of Year Awards Ceremony today at Schertz Elementary. Congratulations to all students!

Pre-K and Kinder will receive awards tomorrow and 4th grade on Thursday.

Monday, 5/27 SCUC ISD will be closed.

Former panthers graduating from Clemens and Steele High Schools participated in the annual Elephant Walk at Schertz Elementary. Our little panthers are all grown up! Congratulations to all 2024 graduates and best wishes on your new adventures!
