It’s the candid moments that become the most cherished. The rarest of photos, portraying the most genuine and pure of emotion.

They are unexpected, natural and unstaged, speak without words, perfect without trying to be. They are honest. Moments like these make the spinning chaos that bled through the day dissipate.

Through out our lives we collect memories. Some fade into the background, some stay with us forever. If we’re lucky, we collect candids which are the memories we pass down. They may not always be the happiest but they are always beautiful.

As some of you may or may-not know…this is not a face that I got to paint makeup on. But one day…🙌🏻

Anyway…fairly recently I watched a webinar for MUAs. One of the things that stuck with me the most was to have your own ‘signature look.’ Not to copy what is trendy or another MUA’s style just bc it seems to be successful based on follows and likes. Etc. for any reason.

I’ve never been one to do super precise, cut crease, and aggressive winged eyeliner that looks like it might cut you if you get to close. It’s just not me, my style, vibe, not my brand if you will.

I’ve always loved blown out, smokey, almost messy looks with neutrals, browns & bronzes. Color wise it leaned that direction bc my hair was already striking enough. I didn’t feel like I needed anymore color that might attract attention.

Considering the fact that I studied color it’s funny to think I avoided it when it came to makeup. I’ve loosened up a little bit recently mostly attributed to making makeup a business. So rather than doing my face every morning staying within the lines of my comfort zone…I thought of my face as a blank canvas of experimenting and testing products.

But this look right here will forever be my favorite go-to vibe.

Heading to LA for my first big job since committing to making my passion a business; which is incredibly special in itself. But that’s just the extra dash of magic and excitement of this weekend ✨

The real deal is the love and gratitude I have for my oldest friend for believing in me, my talent, my steady brush, all of the encouragement over many years…literally everything. That unique kind of support is what changes people, even when it’s a painfully slow road to get to that point of jumping in headfirst. Or maybe a bellyflop but nonetheless is still a jump in the water…which is progress.

Hollywood Lips💋velvet matte liquid lipsticks have been my go-to lately. They are so soft, comfortable, and long lasting.

As much as I love a bold lip, day to day I’m a neutral kind of girl. A good neutral is easy to slap on without a mirror or worrying about staying within the lines. Because let’s be honest…most of us don’t have time for that! 😏 what’s your go-to lip?
