On the mend...
"S**o" the seal pup found on the side of NH Route 286 in Seabrook on Monday following the weekend nor'easter is recovering, according to the National Marine Life Center in Bourne, MA.. The two-month old seal's condition has improved, but is still listed as guarded. Not your typical wildlife spotted along a New Hampshire highway.

The public is being asked to help protect endangered birds on the beaches this holiday weekend and beyond, as the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department reports there are six pairs of piping plovers nesting along the sandy shores of Hampton and Seabrook. Piping plovers are endangered in New Hampshire and threatened nationally.
