Brooklyn Comedy Live

Developing fresh and comedy material requires creativity. These last 2 months being stuck at home inspired me to write more. I love to write on stage. However recently have found joy in writing material, reworking, testing, and reworking it. Here's a great writing prompt to get your writing juices flowing.

What lead me to the stage and become a performer was this insatiable thirst to be heard, to matter, and to make a difference. We create our own obstacles as to why we can't do what we are clearly born to do. There's so much potential in all of us. So many amazing stories bursting to be told. Not just over coffee with friends but on the stage. I've recently discovered the power of on stage and its slowly transforming my life and my career. My last show, Note to Self, was born out of being inspired by one of my favorite storytelling teachers Margot Leitman. She's coming to Seattle to do a storytelling workshop at Unexpected Productions September 22nd. There's still a few spots left I think. Don't worry about the how. Focus your energy on getting crystal clear about WHAT. The how will take care of itself. If you are not happy with the results you are getting simply change the picture. Make a more interesting mind movies about what you want. The key is to generate the emotions of what you want. Turn up the feelings all the way up!

It takes courage to create. Self doubt will sabotage the process. I know this pattern well. No need to force the process. Meditate visualize what your intuition is telling you.

Don't doubt yourself is such a waste of your energy. TRUST your intuition. When you doubt yourself rem you are loved. Remember why you decided to do the thing in the first place. Love yourself and share love with others.

So many words to say about last night's show. Truly amazing when an idea becomes witnessed reality. I finally discovered a title for what happens in the show. It's called Conscious Comedy. The show is an interactive, intuitive, and improvised experience of guiding the audience in live collective conscious conversations about life matters. I learned so much! Fun fun night!
