Looks like just about all the chicks have hatched. I had Issues with 2 incubator so sadly I had a way lower hatch then I expected out of 97 eggs I put in. So on the plus side I will be getting a new incubator for more babies and on the other side I will have less mystery chick boxes than expected but still a good fun mix of babies to sprinkle around 😊

🥰Once I pull my keepers it looks like I will have enough for 3 or 4 mystery box 📦 🐣 boxes 🫶🏼👏🏼

Mystery Box info:

💛Each box will contain 6 chicks 🐣
💛Chicks will be picked by me (😉 hence the mystery part)
💛chicks will be a variety of colors-hatched from chocolate, black mottled, bbs pens some of these are eggs from before separation of paint so there could be some variety of blacks and black from paint. FUN!
💛 my chicks could be a variety of feathering such as silkies of course and silkie frizzle, satin or satin frizzle
💛Chicks will be straight run-unsexed
💛pickup in Seguin only at my farm
💛Serious inquires only and FCFS-mystery boxes will go home next weekend Friday-Sunday once they are 1-1.5 weeks old
💛price is 5️⃣0️⃣ for each box which is equivalent to buying 5 and getting 1 🆓

Iv been really working hard to improve! Every bird and hatch is a work in progress but I’m really loving the look of this one! I’m so happy to see my grow outs going in a positive direction. I’m thinking roo but he sure is pretty so he/she is staying 😍 🫶🏼😳 NFS

If I could go back to school at almost 40 I’d go and learn about genetics 🧬 and DNA this stuff amazes me. The colors and the traits that can be breed in or out in a breed. Well anyways here is a cute chick that I have no idea how the color came about with the genetics I have so you know what that means. We must watch it grow

I am going to start highlighting a color pen each day as I get pics of my adults. The first is my buff pen. This is still a very new project pen for me. They all have good aspects in their color and overall body but I am attempting to add some darker and lighter to achieve a color of buff in the middle that I like. I will continue to grow this pen with birds I am able to find in the fall when temperatures drop. Here are the adults I have placed together. They have not started laying. Due to not only the heat but also from switching pens twice. I’m hoping by fall they will start giving me some eggs and I can hatch out and see what changes I need or want to make. I currently have 1 roo and 4 hens together 🧡

Hey everyone! I’m super excited. I loaded all 3 of my incubators 😅 for a total of about 97 eggs 😳. Due to hatch mid August. Praying for high hatch rate of course! I’m thinking of trying to do chick boxes.📦 Like sell a certain amount for a set price. They would be at least 1 week old. What do yall think?🤔 Do you prefer picking out your chicks..or would you enjoy a chick box of a variety of colors! And how many 4 or 6 in a chick box 💭
